I know this is not they typical 40k thing... A while ago, Miniature BUilding Authority had a sale I took advantage of. I got a couple mobile homes.

This is what the mobile homes looked like (picture from their website) http://www.miniaturebuildingauthority.com/proddetail.asp?prod=10901

Now, I live in rural Georgia, and pass trailer homes daily and none of them look quite like this. I needed something bad guys could hang out in, SWAT guys could raid, rednecks could defend from Godless Commies, Revenuers and Zombies (as if there was a difference). In short, I needed them dirtied up and aged a little. I worked on the first one over the last week. Let me know what you think.

The interior is plain white right now. I'm not sure how I want to do it.

I have some trash piles, old matresses, couches, and other stuff which should be finished this week. I'll post updates when I get them done and photographed.

These bikers happen to be from EM4: http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/BIKERS.html

But Copplestone Castings has a similar set I also have (Mark Copplestone sculpted all of them): http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/images/fw5.jpg from http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/range.php?range=FW

SWAT guys are tactical minis from: http://armorcast.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=116_92&products_id=666 and the Door Knocker vehicle is a Solido diecast VAB I modded. You can see more pictures of it, including a 'before' pic here: http://s247.photobucket.com/albums/gg134/CptJake_Minis/SWAT/

Thanks for the comments. I think I do have a car on blocks to paint up. If not finding a cheap die-cast car I can trash should not be too hard. If the weather permits I intend to clearcoat the old matresses, trash piles and couches and stuff today.

Okay folks, I was able to clear coat all the yard ornaments:

My daughter (8 years old) helped base coat matresses, one of the sofas, the trash bags, and she dry brushed the tires too.

I DO have a couple toilets, just not painted yet.

I have an excuse for the flag, lame but true.

My daughter (8 years old) was helping paint the couches and matresses while I was doing that, and needed 'help' a couple of times and I honestly lost count/track and got a few dots/stars too many. I'm way to lazy to fix it.

Thanks for all the compliments. It is a fun project.

I am going to use either Chain Reaction 3 or Modern Havok (which is kind of based on CR3). There are other rule sets I have which may work as well like We Can Be Heros.

http://www.rebelminis.com/modernhavokpdf.html

http://www.tfpgames.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=6

All of these work for modern and near futre/post apocalypse gaming.

@ Skalk Bloodaxe, not all trailer park chicks are fat, at least not in my gaming Besides, she is more of a biker chick, and us bikers like our babes to be well, Babes!

I am going to get this set for my real trailer trash ladies.:
