Anyone here play with something that would be similar to a Ork Warboss or a Space Marine Captail or Wolf Lord where it has a ton of options that you have given a name too?
You know like made up your own Warboss or HQ Choice and had given it its own special name or back story to it?
Know it is a bit silly but I play d&d heavily so I tend to do this a bit. I have two wolf lords I had made and they come as such
Wolf Lord: Volund Guunar
Chapter - The Stellar Wolves
Runic Armor, Thunder Hammer, Storm Shield, Wolf Tail Talisman, Wolftooth necklace, Saga of Bear
Wolf Lord: Loki Freyr
Chapter - The Stellar Wolves
Runic Armor, Power Fist, Storm Shield, Wolf Tail Talisman, Wolftooth Necklace, Saga of the Warrior Born
Background - Battle Brother wolf lords whom never fight without the other. They were a part of the Space Wolf Chapter during the end of the Horus Heresy. When Leman Russ had
charged his retinue into the eye of terror, they had grieved greatly for they knew they would never see their primarch ever again. After a few days they had a long talk with one another of what
was to come since they no longer had their primarch and decided to break away from their chapter and fashion a new chapter from the wolves that wanted to join them. For what reason no one really knows but it is very well known that they still fully serve the emperor and the imperium of mankind.
They claim to be on a minor crusade to rid the galaxy of the major five threads they see as the biggest threat to the galaxy. 5.Tau 4.Orks 3,Necrons 2,Chaos 1, Tyranids is apparently on the top of the list.

Sounds really nice! I take it you created your own chapter to compliment the two Wolf Lords?
Well, there's not alot of options you can give a Necron Lord (as of yet), but I did give him a bit of a backstory.
Tol was once mortal like you and I. He was born a Necrontyr and suffered under the same curse of a short life. However, he did not let bitterness eat away at him like his other brethren. Tol had an innate sense of justice, and became the equivalent of a chief of police to better serve his people.
When the Deceiver promised them immortality, Tol was one of the first to accept the deal, believing that his race was given justice that was long overdue. He quickly realized his mistake when his soul was bargained away and entombed in the iron shell that he now resides in. As he and his army fought in bloody conflicts, and as he and the others died and came back to life, he slowly changed. A combination of lost data after each resurrection and the stress of battle finally reached him, shattering his mind and his once pure soul. His ideals of justice were slowly warped into a dark parody of the word, and he now believed that slaughter would restore the balance.
Having recently been awoken from his millennia-old slumber, Tol leads his troops to terminate the living once more. Along the way, he adopted some notable quirks, including dipping his cloak into the blood of his fallen enemies, forever staining it a hue of dark red. He was recently scarred, as one of his eyes is missing, blown off by some forgotten Hero of the Imperium. Tol later found the skull of that hero and adorned his staff with it, a grim reminder of the Necrons' continuing mission to wipe out all life in the galaxy.

Tau Commander Shas'O Short Jaw
He was named thus after obliterating a Dreadnought deepstriked nearby. Whilst this was going on I had imagined said Dreadnought had fallen impaled itself into a maw of unorganized pointed teeth hence the "Jaw" part. The "Short" part came from the most lethal weapon he bears, the Fusion Blaster.

Boom! Leman Russ Commander
|
Wolf Lord Hrafn The Grim: After hearing a prophecy that he and his company would never join Russ at the Wolf Time Hrafn began a Great Hunt that has lasted 400 years in order for he and his men to either find Russ or earn their place by his side and only returns to the Fang to reinforce his companies losses. His name is actually missleading as he actually has a very cheerfull personality and earned it from his time as a Wolf Guard for constantly making jokes, he carries a large axe called Head Biter.
Warboss Imbad Ironskull: Lead his Waaagh throughout Imperial Space untill he arrived at a Forge World (the name escapes me at the moment), during the battle for the planets main city Imbad dueled with the cities Arch Magos who prooved incredibly hard to kill due to his enhancments. After killing the Magos and taking the city Imbad became obssessed with bioniks and is now a rather large cybork as are most of the Boyz in his army. He opperates from the same Forge World and has held off a number of counter attacks.
O'ka'mesa (Commander Grey Scar): As a Shas'la he was apart of a Pathfinder group which was ambushed by Ork Kommandos, an Ork cleaver cut into his helmet and part of his face before he was able to kill it with his carbine point blank. He now leads a Fire Caste Garrison attached to a Tau exploration/colonization fleet, he is one of the oldest serving Shas'o and is known to put greater trust in auxiliaries then most commanders.
The Destroyer of Eternities: In life he was a brutal and cruel general of the Necrontyr who was known for his hatred of the Old Ones creations. Countless races where wiped out by his command for he did not take prisoners. Upon becoming a Necron Lord he became the enforcer of the C'tan and was dispatched only when complete destruction was required. Though his true name has been lost with time to the Eldar he is The Destroyer of Eternities and to the Imperium he is The Red King. He carries an ancient gauss axe, the same weapon he wielded as a mortal.
There are a couple.

Twisted Trueborn with Blaster

I've got plenty for both my armies. Here are some of my favorites:
Dark Eldar Archon with Huskblade, Soultrap, Shadowfield, and Ghostplate: Lord Dakkon Blackblade, and Incubus who is wrongly exiled under the current Archon, he eventually overthrows this Archon and takes control.
Urien Rakarth: Lieutenant General Haraldur "The Alabaster", also in exile, he meets Dakkon and leads him to the legendary Huskblade.
Lelith Hesperax: Major General Lilija Frostborne, Dakkon's unlikely ally in the fight against the current Archon.
Duke Sliscus: Colonel Valdis Palemist, a bystander who joins Dakkon after witnessing his prowess in overthrowing the Archon.
Scourge Solarite (fluff wise, he's played as a regular Scourge): Brigadier General Leifr Bleakveil, Dakkon's right hand man, he lead his Scourge troops with fierce loyalty to Dakkon.
As for Tyranids...
Deathleaper: Snowstorm
Red Terror: Frostmaw
Old One Eye: Ice Crusher
Note that I don't field any of those Tyranids, they're just in my fluff.

Twin Rune Priests Brann and Vann.
Brann and Vann were born to a tribal leader on Fenris. At the ages of sixteen, they realized they were able to communicate without speaking to each other, as thoug hthey were speaking through their minds. At the age of 18, both were in a furious battle with a neighboring tribe over hunting territories and fishing waters. The brothers, displaying raw and reckless courage, charged at the front of the line, being the first to engage the enemy. They fought as one body, using their connection to each other to relay information from one to the other. At the end of the battle, over 100 enemy tribesman lay dead at their feet, with minor injuries sustained on their persons.
Later that night, at the tribal victory celebration, Vann was approached by a monster of a man. He was told that he would be able to fight men of incredible power and beasts of monstrous size. Vann accepted, on one condition. The stranger did not seem shocked at this answer, and asked what the condition was. Vann exclaimed that he would only leave if his brother Brann was also able to join. The large stranger began to laugh, saying that he was not surprised at all, and that Brann had already told him that he would go, only if Vann accepted as well.
The brothers were both introduced to the Canis helix at the same time, and the only time they were ever separate was when they had to complete the trial inducting them fully into the Space Wolves. After they both succeeded, they began harder training. As they trained, a Rune Priest began to take notice of how the two did everything at the same time, and communicated as though they could speak with their minds. He felt their potential, and approached the you Blood claws to let them know they had a very special gift. He then Began training them to control this power. After several decades, they had finally mastered their powers and were inducted into the Rune Priest's of the Space wolves. Both have since then grown in power. Vann rules the elements, calling on the power of the wind and the heart of the storm to both give him and his brother protection, but also strike deep the hearts of their enemies. Brann calls upon the spirits of the great wolves, causing the very Earth to swallow their enemies and the spirits of the Great Wolves to fall upon and destroy their enemies with a ferocity no Xeno-species could ever imitate.
