Hey all!

Introducing myself as an avid reader of the Dakka forums, finally got my into gear and made myself an account.

I'm a 24 year old WH40K player, living in Perth, Western Australia, currently in Melbourne for a few weeks (hence why my army has stalled for the time being). I played SW once upon a time (6-7 years ago or more) and left the game not long before graduating high school. My interest has since been renewed with the new codex releases, and I began collecting an IG army.

My final army list (very WiP) is as follows (mind you, I don't actually HAVE all these models as yet):

Command Squad.

Platoon Command Squad + vox
Infantry Squad + 2x grenade launcher + vox
Infantry Squad + 2x flamer + vox
Heavy Weapon Squad - 3x Mortar

Platoon Command Squad + vox
Infantry Squad + 2x grenade launcher + vox
Infantry Squad + 2x flamer + vox

4x Chimera Transports

1x Valkyrie
1x Vendetta

2x Veteran Squads (intending on using the FW Elysian Drop Trooper models) with demo and 6x meltas as dedicated Tankhunters, to be deployed in the two air units.

1x Hellhound
1x Leman Russ Demolisher
2x Hydra Flak
1x Gryphon

I haven't worked out specific point costs yet to fit in with the above units, but with a few minor upgrades etc, I'm thinking it hits around 1600-1800 pts so far (I'm too lazy to check the IG excel army builder).

I'd appreciate any help in making it a better list, and I'll be sure to post it to the Army List forum once I've done a solid point calculation for perusal and inevitable tearing apart

I'm hopefully looking into starting a 500-750pt army of either CSM/SM or similar, just for small battles, but still trying to decide on what play-style/chapters I like most.
