I'm now planning to build "Alpharius",mysterious Primarch, using chaos lord model.

I research about primarch. But I face one problem.
What is his weapon?
In "Legion" from blacklibraly,He use normal sword.

Is there any other information about his weapon??

If anyone know,tell me.

Ummm...somewhere...

I'm not 100% sure about were I heard this from but I'm quite sure Alpharius wield a sword, namely a Gladius, http://civilianmilitaryintelligencegroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Gladius_in_hand.jpg

Lexicanum has a pic of him with a halberd or possibly staff >http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Alpharius
Personally i would just go with the sword though if you want him more like he comes across in legion, if you want him to be demonic or whatnot a halberd or scythe wight work

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

A rather plain looking, unadorned power sword would be a good choice.

LEGION mentions this, I believe, and the "Alpharius Impostor" in the Index Astartes article does too...

Alpharius wanted every alpha legion member to look like him (the pic in question is alot older than the modern fluff) so using a slightly bigger model that still looks 'normal' would be the best choice.

I would say that making him look 'demonic' would go against the alpha legions fluff, seeing as they are not in the eye of terror, and don't like mutation

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Apart from this sword or gladius mentionned in Legion, I think he also wielded some kind of scythe (not a halberd or a staff). I could be wrong, but if I remember well, this scythe actually had two blades (one at each end of the staff).

Sorry, I think I was a bit confused there.

I did a bit of research yesterday and this weapon, called a Falx, is not exactly a two bladed scythe. It is a two and a half meters long weapon. Half of this weapon's length actually consists of its blade, which appears to look like a modified scythe blade.

I first read about his weapon in legion. If I remember well it was mainly used by Nurthene warriors and Alpha Legionaries.

Sorry about my error, but I read Legion quite a long time ago. Almost three years actually.

I read in an article on another forum that Alpharius sometimes wilded this weapon. But this info came from an unofficial forum, it is not a pure GW-info. It could be false.

It all depends on how many spikes/slashy bitz attached to said armor and helm

punching someone in an armor kinda makes the Armor a weapon , maybe?

Considering we're talking about CSM this seems like a pretty viable weapon

Anyway I've always imagined him as using a scythe for some reason. But the gladius fits as well and seems to be supported by fluff.

Both Alpharius and Omegon wield a basic Gladius. No other weapon is mentioned in the Legion book, which is the most definitive Alpha Legion work I've seen.

Given that the identity of the Primarch(s) was kept a secret, with basic marines masquerading as Alpharius through Surgery (to un altered human eyes, anyway) and Omegon swapping places as needed, making him stand out too much wouldnt make sense. Taller, yes, as even Alpharius and Omegon are noted as being particularly greater in stature than their brother marines (John Gramatticus noted this when he spotted the Primarch for the first time) , but beyond that they dont wear anything special. Omegon was noted as wearing "ink black infiltration armour" , so colour scheme could be used there.
