What the title says really, I'm looking for a nice set of rules that are fun and easy to use.

Berlin or Bust!

Pro: Free and easy to play

Con: it's a Beta. But do you really need a polished point system or are you cool with just throwing some dudes on the table?

Force on Force

The squad is the smallest unit (as opposed to a single model) with individual models ultimately representing the demarkation of the squad's footprint and acting as a sort of "wound counter". Granted, I don't have as much actual gaming experience with this ruleset but the read-through of the rules blew my mind!

Rapid Fire has a strong following.

It is intended for 20mm but could be adapted easily by changing distances.

Too Fat Lardies
rules are well regarded.

"I Ain't Been Shot, Mum" is a company level set.

Panzer Marsch

Another larger battle set.

If you really want to play 28mm you are probably looking for skirmish rules, in which case the following are available:

Disposable Heroes

There is plenty of choice.

You are no doubt already aware of Flames Of War.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
