Mission are standard mission, Battle missions and some old missions from back in the day. Everyone who signs up gets a copy Feb 18th when play testing is done.

Scoring is based off of the 5 point system (major minor draw minor major) will sports being a three point question (would you play him again, yes no maybe) and then a favorite opponent at the end.

Will this event be reported for the Southwest Masters Cup?
(EDIT) Regarding the painting competition: Can these be the same models we play with, or will they be set aside during matches for further review/scrutiny?
IE: If I want to submit a squad, can I use that squad during gaming or do i have to bring an extra squad for play?

Dave: check out my thread on the GE board...more info provided.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Painting is many different things for this tournament but not part of your scoring to win the grand prize. There will be a painting competition for those who sign up to compete in as a side prize and also another prize for best overall and best painted army.

Now if you ment is there a painting requirement, there is three colors and base now I will not be to strict on this but please try to not show up with a grey plastic army.

I will post the mission on here if you would like but signing up isn't prepaying. It is just sending me your full name army played and t-shirt size.

prepayment is through Gamers Inn's website ( gamersinnaz.com ) under events and will close on may 6th after that you will need to pay at the door prices.

I do not know what the Southwest Masters Cup is but I will not be reporting this to them ( unless after I look it up now that it has been brought to my attention and they allow it)

Finally yes anything entered into the painting competitions must be left with the judges due to time constants, sorry for any inconvenience.

Blood In The Sand ‘11
Tournament missions

Mission 1: Killing in the name of….
Pitched battle
Annihilation
Once per battle, each player may nominate one unit (including IC joined to that unit) to re-roll all to hits and to wounds for one player turn.

Mission 2: Fighting in the shade
Dawn of war
5 objectives
During the deployment phase you may deploy anything in your army (I.E. not two troops and one HQ) Night fight is in effect for the first game turn.

Mission 4: HOLD!!!!
Pitched battle (modified)
Three objectives placed in “no mans land”
Instead of deploying 12 inches on the long table edges you will now deploy 24 inches along the short table edges. You will use your short board edge for all fall back and reserve movements. All outflanks will now be done along the long table edge.

Mission 3: This land is MY land.
Spearhead
5 objectives
The 5 objectives for this battle are the table quarters and a 24 inch circle in the center of the board. Anything counts as scoring for the point of holding and contesting but a unit may only ever hold one objective and if they are on two the controlling play may choose which he is holding or contesting.

Mission 5: A war on all fronts
Modified
Annihilation (each HQ is worth 2 kill points)
Deployment is done with the first person (Defender) deploying his army inside a 24 inch circle in the center of the board. The person deploying second (Attacker) keeps everything in reserves to come on to ether short board edge they want first turn. All fall back moves are made towards the nearest board edge. All defender units gain the stubborn and stealth USR and all attacker units gain relentless for the length of the game.
