Hi all how are you?

Im wanting to create a new scene for my game board using a crater that has filled with water. I'm hopeing some of you out there have some top tips for making the water. I've tried a few things but no luck.

Your help will be gratefully received and I'll post the finished item with special thanks.

Depends on how deep you want the water to be. Generally though a few layers of Woodland Scenics Realistic Water, topped off with some of their Water Effects for ripples / splashes should do the job.

There are a decent number of specialty water effects offered by different companies, as well as plain old clear acrylic resin or epoxy. For any significant depth, you're going to need to build your water up in layers, but know that the illusion of depth is achievable by proper painting below a relatively thin layer of water effects, or even a few coats of plain old gloss varnish. Look around for terrain-building tutorials. Plenty of people have covered using different water effects for everything from fountains to puddles to rivers to big ol' lakes.
