Here's the question:
Say a Raider with a shock prow (Allowing it to tank shock), turbo-boosts 24" to tank shock a vehicle, and in the resulting damage rolls, destroys itself, can the unit inside then shoot/assault that turn? (As it has not disembarked as per the Turbo-boosting rules, wouldn't be destroyed because it wasn't a dangerous terrain test, and is obviously open topped).
Thoughts please!

The guys inside would die, because the unit inside is unable to disembark due to the turboboost, and leaving a vehicle for any reason is classed as disembarking.

IRRC according to the new BRB FAQ, a transport that wrecks the same player turn that it goes flat out, the cargo is removed from play and destroyed.

But if a vehicle turbo boosts and is shot down then the unit doesn't die? Sure it says that the unit may not disembark if it moves flat out, but that implies voluntarily disembark.

If the unit is shot down in the enemy turn, then the unit disembarks as per wrecked and destroyed rules. If you wreck on your own turn, then the unit inside is destroyed.

They probably added this FAQ entry to prevent people from trying to ram or turbo boost in terrain in an attempt to wreck ones self to get a 24"+ 2"+D6"+6 charge range on raider units.

Ah I see, Thanks for clearing that up anyway, stil getting my head around using dark eldar in 5th edition, lots of rules i havent really used before!

Lol I had a game with a DE player who turboboost tank shocked my Ironclad dreadnought. I don't think he realised I could death or glory.

Aether sails and a shock prow is still a nasty combo. D3 Str +1 STR per 3" with a max move between 26-36" and a strong average of 31" It just has to be an empty transport.

The dread doesnt die. Walkers that dont death or glory are hit on the proper facing, and if a Walker fails death or glory then they take it on rear armor.

Walkers can not death or glory if rammed in their rear arc

I played a game with an eldar player who rammed my LRC at full speed with his Fire Prism -which had lost it's main weapon mind you - penentrated and rolled......a 2, -1 for extra armour, I however rolled a 5 and no more Eldar.

You don't get a -1 to damage results from EA...

He probably meant stun was reduced to shaken.. which is like -1 to the table long as you roll a 2.. Probably easier to just say 1-2 is shaken tho!
