Outflanking. Is it a special rule or just a special type of deployment and how is it done? Do i need to roll for scatter to check which side I come out of. Can I shoot and assualt normally?
Just confused atm.

Its a special type of reserve. Please read page 94 of your BGB all you need is there.

Outflanking is a special deployment rule. If a unit has the Scouts or Infiltrate special rules, they can be held in reserve for an Outflank move. You roll for them to come in as normal for Reserves (i.e. 4+ on turn 2, 3+ on turn 3, 2+ on 4, and auto on 5). When they come in, roll for which short edge they enter from: 1-2 = left, 3-4 = right, and 5-6 is your choice. They follow all normal rules for coming onto the table from reserve - they can move up to their normal distance from the table edge, they can shoot or run, or run and assault if they have Fleet.

Check out the last section on page 94 of the main rules, it is an option for Infiltrators and Scouts.

It can also be given to units/models through special rules, such as IG's Al Rahem, one of the SW sagas, or granted to a unit by a Hive Tyrant. So units without either Infiltrate or Scouts can gain Outflank. The burning question taht is leading to lots of discussion is whether or not this versioin of Outflank (ie not granted by a USR) is granted to ICs that join the unit. I personally think it is not, but others are arguing that it is.

Yep.
Says that in the rules.

Can't understand how people misread it or just fail to comprehend it.

Infiltrate and scout BOTH add the ability to outflank to units.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
