So here are the models I have/can field:
1 of every IC and SC in the history of ever (4 calgars… 2 chaplains, etc etc)
2 dreads (only have 2 twin las. 1 assault cannon, 1 twin auto)
1 LR (god hammer or LRC)
1 Vindicator
3 rhinos/ R’backs
60 marines (3-4 of all heavy weapons save MM, only have 1. All special weapons)
20 assault marines ( 15 have removable jump packs)
20+ scouts ( all weapons, predominately BP CCW though)
Landspeeder (all weapons)
14 terminators ( 7 can be converted to TH/SS terms, all heavy weapons)
7bikers 1 attack bike (all weapons)
So this is what I have to work with... I don't have nearly as many transports as I'd like to have, and 1 vindicator is a firemagnet that will probably die first or second turn.. Problem is, I don't really see many lists that I can feasibly pull off other than this... Maybe Vulkan stuff, Maybe shrike assault.. -shrugs-
I'd like to stay within my codex, but if there are any builds in BT, DA, SW,or BA that I could do without proxying, that would be okay too.

Doesn't look that bad, and I'm not the greatest SM player/strategist, but the LR for a sternguard squad seems a bit overkill. Drop some lesser upgrades (like dozer blade on something) and downgrade the LR into two auto/las predators, or a las pred and auto/bolter pred since it looks like it's more for AV, and just mount the second Sternguard in a rhino.
But hey, just look at how much stuff I got wrong with my list. It's just something to think about, because it seems like a LR isn't worth it for a Sternguard, or really at all, for anything lower than 2k points.

Leave second scout squad, dozerblades, give your sterns 2x combiflamer and 4x combimeltas, if it is possible made from your dread rifle dread(2x TL AC), maybe in this way you save points for second vindi/typhoon or another unit.

Well now that I'm done being morose, here's the updated list!
Kantor 175
Scouts: Cloaks, snipers, HB 100
5 man TAC squad in Lazorback : 165
Elites:
Sternguard squad (5) 4x combi-meltas, 1xcombi-flamers, PlasLas back with dozerblades: 220
Sternguard squad (6) 4x combi-meltas, 2x combi-flamers, PlasLas back with d-blades: 250
Auto-Las dread: 145
Fast attack:
Typhoon 90
Heavy support:
Vindicator with dozerblades 120
So right now I'm at 1265 points. I want to bring it up to 1500, but I'm not sure how. I'm leaning towards one of the two options
1st)6 bikes, MM attack bike, 2x meltas: 235 points
2nd) ML devastators and bring the TAC squad up to full squad and give them the heavy and specials.
3rd) 3x PLASMA CANNON DEVASTATORS!!!  190 points so I'd have 45 left over. More for fun than anything however. Although it would help me kill horde lists a lot easier

They really really don't suck they cost 5 points and make you 600% less likely to get immobilized from terrain, which I usually drive over/through constantly.. Maybe they do on razorbacks, where range is less of an issue... But generally, I like to be able to stay mobile. I also usually play on boards with lots of terrain.
Perhaps if you gave me an alternative for my 15 point investment?

3 more combi-flamers. Automatically Appended Next Post: You shouldn't get caught in a position where you need to go through terrain. If you do you also can footslog it. Your rhinos cam also self-repair.

? three more combi-flamers on what exactly? I have 6/5 sternguard and I have 6/5 combi-weapons...
I'm rarely caught in a position where I need to go through terrain, most of the time, I'm using the terrain as cover.. The 5 point dozer blade lets me do this with almost no fear of immobilising my transport.

Ok, if I had that list, this is what I what I would do. These are just some ideas, and I've not number crunched them yet.
* Modify Calgar to make him a LC termie.
* Infiltrate 8 terminators with shrike
* Bring 1 squad of scouts. Combat squad these scouts
* First combat squad give sniper rifles. Thier your objective campers
* Squad 2 takes CCW with a PF seargent. Their job is a turn 1 assault. Assault vehicles for turn 1 insta-kill cheeze
* Bring 1 tac squad. Put them in a rhino. Thier your objective grabber
* Bring 2 sternguard squads. Their your flexability
* Bring your dreads, you need some anti-armor
* If you have the points, throw in your vindicator. Sure its a fire magnet, but if their shooting it, their not after your dreads
Those are just some thoughts off the top of my head.

Wait, you don't have to be in dangerous terrain to get cover you know. You can hide behind it.
Also, drop the HB and cloaks on your scouts. - 25 extra
Drop dozers. - 40 points extra.
Drop the tacs in the razor for 5 sniper scouts. - 130 extra
Enough for a vindi? Codex not at hand.

Won't a Vindicator taken singly die early because it attracts too much fire? It's either take three (sometimes two is forgivable), but taken singly and it's just a metal box when a weapon destroyed is rolled.
Also, drop the camo on scouts, and add Telion. He's basically a free camo for everyone, free wounds to allocate (and you get to choose! Now snipe that melta-carrying guy) and he makes sure that the scout ML will hit almost every time if he uses it.
You can also save up points turning the dread into Mortis, or just getting a Pred with AC/LC. Mortis is more cheaper and good at popping transports, and Pred is cheaper and can also pop heavy armor. I would suggest the Pred but since you don't have the model, a twin autocannon will work just fine.
I don't see why you need dozer blades, except for the Vindicator. If you can take more than one Vindicator, take it.
Laspas on the tacs, too. If you can upgrade them to 10-man, get the free ML and combat squad.

It will give you the points and be formidable against non tank hunter armies.

Well if you're working off the original list, I'd say you need 2 tactical squads for general troops and staying back. The weapons should be meltas, but the heavier ones are really up to you.
The TL lascannon on the dreadnaught isn't really necessary. They need to get into combat, and taking the time to shoot is a turn when they could have been running. The multimelta is has will be just fine.
As for the sternguard, I think it would be better if you dropped 2 of them from one squad, and put them in the other. Then switch the rhino for a razorback, and the 10 man squad in a drop pod.
Land Speeder typhoons are good, and fill the fast moving niche the army doesn't have at the moment. But run 2 in a squad, because they become much more of a problem to kill. before I could just dedicate one lascannon in a combat squad to pick it off from a distance, but having 2 make me reconsider the whole thing; because now my chance of stopping it for greatly reduced.
The land raider needs to carry Terminators. There's no real purpose other ways unless you have a 15 man squad. 5 TH/SS and maybe 1-2 lightning claws will do in a regular land raider. It will give you 2 more lascanonns and with extra armor they can keep on moving.
1 vindicator isn't really good. They'll draw a lot of fire, and will die before they get the chance to fire. But if you run 2 it puts a lot of pressure on the other person. And by the time they deal with them, other stuff will already be in their face.l
If you want to keep those 5 other scouts, give them a land speeder storm with heavy flamer, CCW/boltpistols and powerfist sergeant with combi flamer. They can scout move and get in a first turn assault for all those chewy unprotected combat squads.
Although if you take all this advice you'll go over 1500 points(and force organization)
