After having a swatch through my friends Imperial Armour books, I read about this chapter and thought "Yeah. I can see that happening,"

I have a few questions though!

1) - Is there any pictures of their colour scheme on the net? Other than in the IA book I cant seem to find any. From what i remember their armour was chrome/metallic with black trim, is this right? Also, what shoulder transfers would be good to use? I'm thinking some of the Chaos ones perhaps?

2) - I like to make sure new armies I collect are different to previous ones, so with these guys (without having looked at the SM codex, my other marines are templars) I was thinking about running a drop pod spam list. As in, troops all dropping in, sternguard dropping in, with some devastator squads as well. Is this a viable list? Or can you build a viable list around this theme?

3) - Do any of the characters in the SM codex give benefits to this sort of army? (i.e. the way Vulkan would with salamanders).

Afaik drop pod spam is viable but you'd be better off asking in tactics.
Star Phantoms are the guys who killed of the Astral Claws right? If so i would expect SM trophies but not CSM transfers or icons.
