Hello All,

I have been dropping into various GW stores around London and have not found a regular meeting 40k gaming group yet. A GW store employer told me the Oxford St. store has a Thursday meet up but I have not been able to go yet.

If anyone knows of a regular playing group in London, I would appreciate finding someone to play.

Hey, thought id reply here rather than start a new thread but ive been out of gaming for a few years and am also interested in finding a club to join/friendly games to get back into playing in the london or greater london area

Well, i'm near Croydon, so for me i think Gatwick is about 40 minute drive? An hour? not quite sure ha

Depends which side of Croydon you live at I guess.
If its south, then 20 minutes down the A23/M23. If north, however long it takes you to get through Croydon, which could be an hour!

I usually go to Oxford st. and they do have a dragon slayers (I think) club on thursday nights. Never been though.

Lokirfellheart, I actually just started gong to the Thursday night gaming at the Oxford St. GW in London. I found that everyone there was very pleasant to game and hang out with. I plan to be there every week if my schedule allows. If you can find the time, you might enjoy it too. Last week we had a game going by 4 in the afternoon or so and the store stays open later than the Plaza it's located in.

Hi guys. We had this conversation a while back with great results. Here's a few links...

First, gaming groups. Apart from the Oxford St group (which i know Yiawchuah on Dakka attends), there's also the Cross GC which meet in London Bridge (http://www.crossgamingclub.com/?p=26).

The Dark Sphere store, underneath Waterloo Station, have tables, and they used to hold their 40k night on a Wednesday. (http://www.darksphere.co.uk)

If you're in east london/essex (or on the tube anywhere) then The Overlords club meets every Sunday afternoon in Becontree, which is on the District line. (http://www.theoverlords.co.uk)

I'd also recommend going to the last Platinum Devil tournament in May - http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/348341.page - it's in Canterbury, but a lot of the people who go are London-local. A few of us who met at the first Platinum Devil (Fifty, Rinkydink, Panic etc) all have tables at home and regularly play each other.
