This list is an attempt to create the best dread based space marine list possible for a tournament.

Librarian-Null zone, Vortex of Doom, TDA, Combi Melta-135

Ironclad Dreadnought-Meltagun, Heavy Flamer, ChainFist, Hunter Killer Missile, Drop Pod

Ironclad Dreadnought-Meltagun, Seismic Hammer, Drop Pod

Ironclad Dreadnought-Meltagun, Seismic Hammer, Drop Pod

5xScouts-Heavy Bolter, 4xSniper Rifles-85

10xTactical Marines-Drop Pod, Flamer, Missile Launcher, Powerfist

The scouts and maybe one combat squad holds objectives.

The ironclads go on the offensive, with the librarian and tactical squad supporting them.


These are the missions that will be played

Round 1 will be "All out Defence" from the Battle Missions Book page 70

Round 2 will be Annihilation with Pitched Battle Deployment from the BGB

Round 3 will be "Implacable Advance" from the Battle Missions Book page 54

in this list I think you need more troops! I think just 2 tacticals squads would work better

I did think of that but sadly there is no way to fit in another drop pod or tactical squad .

I guess so I am not sure what you should do then :/

Should beat mostly anything. Dreads bust up vehicles or torrent infantry, THSS kill other super units that your opponents might bring along.

Oh god, this past 2 years have all been lies? I always suspect bringing 1500 points to a 1000 point tourny was legal .

While I like the list with the 4 dreads, TH/ss termies better, pure dreads is still doable
MotF w/ Conversion beamer

2xSniper Scouts with Camo Cloaks
10pts for flavor

Put the MotF with the scouts in a bolstered ruin for 2+ cover saves and go nuts. I think the other list is better though. Especially for the first mission, you must have troops that can take/defend a heavily defended objective in assault, and sniper scouts can't do that.

If you don't mind switching codexes, this list will still satisfy your dread fix and is better suited to the missions you stated
HQ:
Belial - TH/SS - 130pts

Troops:
5x DWT - Cyclone, 5x TH/SS - 235pts
5x DWT - Cyclone, 5x TH/SS - 235pts

Elites:
Dreadnought - Heavy Flamer, Assault Cannon - 130pts
Dreadnought - Heavy Flamer, Assault Cannon - 130pts
Dreadnought - Heavy Flamer, Assault Cannon, Missile Launcher- 140pts

Troop terminators make the first and third missions much easier. It will take a monster effort to remove them from objectives, and they will draw heavy weapon fire away from your dreadnoughts.

Only 11 dreadnoughts max… blood angels are pathetic!

Maybe consider SW? They can have a Dread for an HQ ;D

Plus Grey Hunters are pretty cheap point wise, and are fairly good as MSUs to squeeze some points.

Problem is that I don't think the OP wanted to switch dexes. Repainting everything can really suck.

I must admit that BA do have a low number of dreads. They need:
- a bjorn HQ option
- FA dreads
- DC dreads without DC
That would be 16 dreads - Dear god.

I could have sworn you oculd only have 1 squad of death company unless you had astorath, and i thought you could only have one dread per squad of dc

That is just one squad of 25 DC, you can have up to 30.

Perhaps, and some serious emphasis on perhaps.

- More scouts for AI and objectives. Forget the tacts. I've found scouts better objective holders and can be nasty to AI.
- MOTF, less juicy then Libby and a lot easier to hide in a corner. Unfortunately, waste of 100 but HQ is req'd.
- CoupleIC Dreads in DPs to drop on the enemy and wreak havoc
- Couple Dreads with long range (AT pref.)
