So i've rewritten my list taking on the advice people have given

commander stryker

charger

cyclone

hunter

ironclad
unit of stormblades.

What do people think , i'm gonna use the cyclone for anti infantry while the hunter will use strykers abilities to help the hunter

There's a couple things I feel like I should point out:

-Nemo needs a lancer. badly. He is a big wuss, and every inch you can get him away from danger is worthwhile. You'll be casting locomotion and voltaic snare fairly often, and both have measly sub-10" ranges. The Lancer LOVES being under the effect of electrify too.

-those fireflies are pretty difficult to justify by themselves. You're not capitalizing on their synergy with stormcallers, or their other commonly accepted use as cheap providers of flank for sword knights. Otherwise they're just slightly more expensive infantry-killing chargers.

-While the sentinel's shield guard is great for Nemo, he doesn't provide much else. Nemo can fry infantry pretty well on his own via chain lightning and ball lightning, so the chaingun's not a huge benefit.

i've changed to stryker so i can use him to drop def and then the others do the killing.
What do you think?

I have played against cygnar many many times and one thing that is really helpful besides a lancer is the warjack that places two 3 inch blast templates for a turn

Oh yeah, the Cyclone's Dual Covering Fire. Great heavy against infantry.

A problem I see with your list is that you're missing melee. I'd get rid of the Sentinel and the Stormsmith stormtower and get an Ironclad in the list.

Your Firefly and your 2 stormcallers should be able to triangulate and hit infantry coming at you, or disrupt 'jacks. Just be sure to protect them!

if you go warjack heavy get

hammersmith
stormclad
thunderhead
or
Ol'Rowdy
any of those would be good jacks for close combat
if you wanted some units
stormblade unit
sword knight unit

these are suggestions i have never seen any of the warjacks or units used accept the stormblade unit which is pretty good. prolly eitehr go with two melee units or two melee warjacks

In that list you don't have anything to do the killing, Stryker can do a lot of helping but needs someone to do his heavy lifting. Drop firefly and stormtower, which are not doing anything in that list and put a heavy in their place.

I disagree on the Firefly - it's acting as the third point for the Stormcaller's triangulation - get rid of it, and you'll only have a straight line between the two stormcallers, which isn't nearly as useful.

I believe you have too many 'jacks on Stryker - he's a generalist, so he's going to need focus for his spells - and those stormblades are going to need either Arcane Shield or Blur to survive the trek across the field. However, he's going to want to give focus to the Ironclad so it can beat face, and to the Hunter so it can do more damage. Then the greedy little Charger is going to want 3 focus when it wants to shoot.



Here's a list combining a lot of what you've looked at so far, with a character unit thrown in:

pStryker
-Lancer
-Ironclad
Journeyman Warcaster
-Hunter
Black 13th Gun Mage Strike Team
Stormblade Infantry

So, here's your plan - Stryker can either Shield or Blur the stormblades for a higher DEF or ARM. He then has 4 focus left. When it's time to get into combat, toss a focus on the Ironclad in the Maintenance phase, then Earthquake through the Lancer. When your target is down, use the focus to charge with the Ironclad, who will have a better chance to hit, and will have a boosted damage roll since he's charging.

You've got your Black 13th and the Stormblades, who will wreck anyone in close combat (hopefully!). Use your Black 13th to soften up enemy infantry before charging with the Stormblades (who will also tear through 'jacks pretty well).

The Journeyman/Hunter combo will be your sniper team. The hunter's extended control area means that Jr can stand back 12 inches instead of 6, making him much more survivable. Give the Hunter whatever focus it needs - 2,1, or even none! Jr. can cast Arcane shield on the Stormblades so Stryker can have a bit more focus, and the Hunter can still do a boosted damage roll thanks to its high RAT.

Edit: Remember those 2 points of focus you get when Jr. puts Shield on the stormblades? You can use those to cast Snipe on the Black 13th, giving them a nasty 14" range.

Ah, but there will be times when you'll want the Brutal Damage instead of Snipe.

And no problem! I'm currently build a 25 pt. list myself for pCaine. The Hunter is an absolute godsend for Casters who are complete focus hogs.
