Ok so I started collecting my army summer of 2010, but didnt get into gaming till this year. ( I had my first game about a week ago.lol.)
Anyways I thought I would post up my army list as it is now. So here goes:

HQ: Cannis Wolfbourn
Elites: 5 Wolf Guard Termies (all with power weapons and one with a thunder hammer and storm shield ( gotta love that 3+ invunrable save )
5 wolf scouts (3 with snip rifs 1 woth bolter and 1 with a flamer)
Troops: 10 Blood Claws (one has a power fist)
10 Grey hunters (with a wolf standerd)
Fast Attack: 5 Sky Claws (with power fist)

I also have some long fangs to make up but havent got around to that.

Any comments and info from more experianced players would be well apreciated. (Sorry for the spelling.)

So what your saying is that I should bend like wheat but strike like cream?
"MOOOOO"
You are so wise cow.

In Beil-Tan High Command, plotting the destruction of the Mon-Keigh.

It looks like a great army for 1000 pts. Only problem is lack of vehicles.

If your going to go for a close combat army then i would suggest getting a drop pod (or land raider) and another teminator squad with all of them upgarded to thunder hammers and storm sheilds (gotta love the 3+ invunerable save ) to give your army some serious awsomeness.
these additions will still keep your army below 1500 and will be adequate for gaming until (if at all) you want to get really competative.

btw. Since you have one HQ choice still open i would suggest getting lukas the trickster. Ive faced him before and he OWNS in close combat

Hey There!
It isn't a bad start, but there are a few changes I might suggest...

First - Canis Wolfborn is awesome, but also is plagued by a leadership of 8... At 1000 points I would think about running a simpler HQ choice that can help your units and be a bit more cost effective for the points you are playing at. My favorite HQ to run at small point totals is the Wolf Priest. For 100 points he comes with a power weapon and a 4+ invul save. Stick him in a unit like your Blood Claws, and he gives them all the Preferred Enemy rule which allows you to re-roll all those attacks that they get.

Second - Your Wolf Scouts... You've got sinper rifles mixed in with a flamer, which means that at short range 2 of your weapons can't be used and at long range you have a weapon that can't be used... To me, the best way to use the Wolf Scouts is with their improved version of Outflank and give them a melta gun and possibly melta bombs. The bombs are 5 more points per model, but basically ensure that any enemy tanks that may be hiding out in your opponent's deployment zone will be taken care of.

Thrid - Wolf Guard Terminators get expensive fast when compared to terminators from other chapters. A standard Wolf Guard terminator with power weapon and storm bolter is 33 points. Unless you used Logan Grimnar and planned your entire army list around the terminators and made them troops, they just aren't worth the point cost in army lists of this size. If your plan is to run an assault oriented Space Wolf army at 1000 points, then you might want to think about adding Wolf Guard in power armor to your Grey Hunters and Blood Claws and sticking them in rhinos.

So, how about something like this:

HQ - Wolf Priest = 100
ELI - Wolf Guard (3 man) All attached to lead packs, all armed with Power Fist & Combi-Meltas = 129
ELI - Dreadnought w/ Assault Cannon & Extra Armor = 120
ELI - Wolf Scouts (5 man) All w/Melta Bombs, 1 w/Melta Gun = 105
TR - Blood Claws (8 man) w/Power Fist & Flamer, pack mounted in a Rhino = 180
TR - Grey Hunters (8 man) w/Mark of the Wulfen, Wolf Standard, Melta Gun, pack mounted in a Rhino = 185
HVY - Long Fangs (5 man plus pack leader) 5 w/Missile Launchers, unit mounted in a Razorback = 180

Total = 999

Basically, you stick the Wolf Priest in with the Blood Claws and you now have a decent little death star in that unit. Attach a Wolf Guard to your Scouts, Blood Claws, and Grey Hunters to give them a bit of a boost in leadership along with some extra punch in hth. Combined with a dreadnought, and some long range firepower with the Long Fangs and you're good to go!

Good Luck!
