So, I'm starting up an escalation league with a gaming group (600 pts one month, 800 the next, so on and so forth), and we decided on Late War, seeing as how most people associated WWII with the 1944-1945 era. I already have enough 15th Scots to field in case of too many German players, but I'd like to start up a German army for the league of their happens to be a deficit (but mostly because I love German armor!).

I've already got the Panzer IV H platoon, so that's a good 475 points right there.

What should I do now? I think I'd like some infantry in the list - something that can hold an objective on one side, as the 5 Panzers roll up the opposite flank. Problem is... so many of the German infantry are too expensive. I feel as if I should pick up a Panzerpioneer minimum platoon, and then downgrade one of the Panzers to a III M, putting me at 595 points.

Any advice on the matter?
