Why don't you bring a unit or two of sternguard instead of TAC marines? They are very flexible and help in a lot of situations.

Sternguard are a lot more expensive.

What hole in his army do you think they would fill?

The army looks good to me, even if your style of typing it is a little hard to really read quickly.

The only thing I would suggest is loosing the PF's and PW on the Sargent's. A 5 man tac squad should NOT be in combat, so paying for upgrades to make them 'less bad' at something they shouldnt be doing is counter productive. Maybe use the points to give them combi-melters and M.bombs instead?

Oh, and also make all the terminators TH/SS. You really need them to instant death Nobz, take out monstrous creatures etc ... I cant remember the math off the top of my head but I think LC's only do better against 1 or 2 specific enemies, which isn't worth it for all the other situations.

Sorry for the odd armylist but that comes straight out of Army Builder and that's how they format it in BBCode.

The terminators I'm thinking of making another LC a TH/SS. I like the 4/2 setup as I can soften up a squad before the hammers strike, rather than taking the hits first.

As for the combi-meltas. I think that it's an alright idea. I'm going to be objective parking most of the time with them so they might never be in melta range, but I know I might get assaulted and that power fist might come in handy. This list isn't set in stone yet, so keep the comments coming!

I understand your logic but PF or not, if your 5 man squad is being assaulted then its a gonner. Your spending points to try and save a situation which you will still lose.

Plus they shouldn't really every be outside of the Razorback, let alone be within charging distance (unless you are using them as bait/speedbump)

Its just a game kids.
