Does anybody have any bright ideas on slightly less ridiculously expensive bitz to use as marine missile launchers so I can powega-- uh, I mean, play competitively? The two I've thought of were vehicle hunter killer missiles (I have none) and the big, skinny IG missile launchers. I haven't been able to find any pictures of how these options look. My search-fu may be lacking, and if so, I apologize, but does anybody have pics of these/other good ideas?

"Well, isn't the enemy of your enemy, like, your friend? Or whatever? Can't they team up?"
"Not exactly. In this setting, the enemy of your enemy is still a floating, greasy, armored brain."
"Well, what about his enemy? Maybe you could be friends with him."
"No, because that guy is a mechanical horror in an undying battle shell. He sails from world to world in a flying tomb, serving gods who eat hope."

Sorry that this is a bit vague, but a company based in Poland makes nice missile launchers, but if someone actuall know the company name that might help more!

I rarely use my the HK missiles on my vehicles so I am in the process of throwing together a squad of 4 devs with strange setups. I'm thinking stuff like arm and shoulder mounted launchers.

But other then using marine and IG bits there really isn't much I can think of. Forgeworld does make a conversion kit that is excellent and comes with two launchers, but for US buyers the exchange rate isn't to good.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

If you can get a hold of a box of Space Crusade minis you'll find a wealth of (very) old stlye maine weapons, including four missile launchers (firing multiple small rockets at once rather than one big one). I don't know their availability in the US, but I've managed to get a hold of a good many of those kits here.

I know forgeworld make a pre-heresy style missile launcher.
Its a special weapons pack so it comes with meltas and flamers also.

Here are a few that I did out of of HK missiles. Just so you know, I did fill in the "extra missile" with greenstuff.

The one all the way to the right is a HK missile.

Great ideas, thanks everybody.

Just one more time, though, nobody has pics of marines using IG missile launchers?

I was just browsing the site, and I personally found it very easy to navigate. Just my experience
Great find, though! I'm quite liking the look of some of the weapons.

Getting to the point, I personally think that an IG missile launcher on a marine might look a bit dainty. But to each their own, I suppose. I may try and dig out my spare IG launcher and see if I have any blank marines to do a mock-up (if you don't mind it being blue-tacked together.)

Got some mock-ups. One is an acolyte with the launcher on his shoulder and the second is an Emperor's Champion one-handing it like the pile of awesome that he is.

Thanks, Poofish, that answers all my questions. I heart you, Dakka.

Always glad to help out!

After those mock-ups, I actually kind of like the look, though I'm not sure it would still look good if it were used in a traditional SM devastator pose.

I like to keep things simple, primarily because I have no greenstuff-fu. I did this last night because I wanted a Dev Squad for my BAs with 4-MLs. I just took the HKM from my Baal Pred sprues and the gunner arms. Rested the HKM on the bar between the hands and the shoulder of the marine. Quick and easy (except I reinforced the bar with a brass rod, because I needed to separate the arms in order to magnetize them at the shoulder. If you don't magnetize arms. then there's no reason to reinforce it. In hindsight I shouldn't have magnetized the arms as I see no other load for my BA Devs hehe) Anyway here it is...

And the just completed Dev Squad with 4-"Missile Launchers"

Good MLs! When I'm magnetizing weapon arms like that I just glue the weapon and arms together and magnetize the whole thing at the shoulders.

It is magnetized at the shoulders, but I had to separate the arms (gunner arms are connected by a bar), in order to make it easier to drill holes for the magnets. Since I separated it right in the middle where the bar is, I thought I needed to reinforce with a brass rod.

Alternatively, when without greenstuff or money, you can use used pens internal tube...

It will need a bit of custumizationg, but can be done... I almost done 3 of them when converting my Long Fangs...

Take the interal tube of the pen, and some (well, here is a problem, i dont know how you call it in english, but here is a pick of some of them)

Well, take some small ones of that things (we call them "Porcas" in portuguese), and mix them with pen tube, plasticard/cardboard and some unused bits.

I never really tryed it, but if you do it with "skill and care", they could look nice in the end... And they could be relatively cheap (at least until you could not spare real ones?)

Just an ideia that could be usefull...

If my post show some BAD spelling issues, please forgive-me, english is not my natural language, and i never received formal education on it...

On Topic... this is a great idea as Cyclone Launchers are $60 each! (In a boring regular Terminator Squad...)
