Deadly Dark Eldar Warrior

I was wondering what paint thinners would do to a model.
How does it effect the plastic?
I am thinking of spreading this thinner onto marines to make them look like they have
been hit by a liquifer gun.
Any help would be welcome.

With this plastic, it would probably soften it more than really melt it. experiment on a piece of sprue

I don't think you really need to got THAT far, and melt your mini's. Some of the thicker, more stickier glue's got great potential of adding such effects. And once you prime-n-paint it, it isn't going to show anyhow.
- Just cut it up, add some GS to fill the larger gaps, and start adding the glue. That's what i would do!

When in doubt with a new chemical test it on a piece of sprue like Falcon suggested.
Also maybe some plastic glue as it melts the plastic to fuse it together. It depends on how melted you want them to show as I guess.

Depending on the thinners, it will depend on duration of immersion.
Acetone will turn it to goo in a matter of minutes.
Toluene likewise.
MEK will also do this.

Use a hot melt glue gun. You can create nice melty gloopy strands of glue and paint them an appropriate colour with no need to destroy any models.

Even easier and doesn't cost you anything. Use the plastic glue that is already on your painting desk!

If you mean white spirts or turpentine it makes the plastic dry out and go very brittle , it also doesn't take the paint of without doing some damage to the minis detailing.
