so sometime this week im aquiring a stormlord from my friend who used to play IG, i was wondering what a good point value it would be to upgrade its BS and take upgrades from C:SM instead of C:IG, i was thinking something like 25-30 points, plus any upgrades i want to give it, any help would be appreciated

I would say that sounds about right, and woudl be perfectly happy allowing that in a game....as long as you allowed by BS5 iron Warriors ShadowSword (targetters). 
You dont need to worry about PotMS as it's a super heavy.

other then having 1 less BS, the Stormlord has the same options as Codex SM vehicles(aside from Heavy Stubbers) because the IG vehicle upgrades are basically the same.
i would let you pay 50 points for +1 BS. remember that you are pumping out 15 Str6 AP3 shots and only paying 30 points to make 10 hit as opposed to 7.5 could be seen as OP.

I would say 40pts for BS4 personally, although Space Marine don't field super-heavies (anymore), so I'd be more inclined to just have you use it as a normal IG superheavy...

There are many SM players fielding Bane/Fellblades so I think it sounds about right.

Join the Imperial Guard. The pay's lousy, the battles fierce and you probably won't ever come back again. BUT you get a lasgun.

I have a friend who has a Hellhammer that he uses as a Fellblade, to make it a Fellblade he buys it the Chronus Upgrade but boosts to BS 4 not 5.
