Whats up Dakka,

I LOVE the Tomb Stalker (Forge World model) and bought one. Will make an excellent addition to my Necron army.

My question is, are they hard to assemble? How productive are they really, on the battlefield? What do you think of the current rules for them?

I like to think of myself as a advanced modeler, not a pro though. Forge World models scare me. They are gems in any army, but some are HARD to build, and some require advanced skills.

Whats your take Dakka? What do you think of these things?

This model is an oddity from FW, Its rules are ballanced (not an implication that FW is unbalanced, its not) its a beautifull model, and it feels like what forge world should have been doing from the start... supporting the other races before spesh mareehns or pimperials(TM)

so yes i love it

Looks gorgeous and it's rules almost seem a steal for what it can do, though compared to the rest of the codex a few steals aren't unwarranted. Planning on purchasing a full 3 in the near future.

Well they are immune to lasgun fire, that is reason enough to fear them. s3 vs t7 is not good. Other than that they seem to add some pretty good anti tank potential to the necron list.

It nicely fills out the CC need of the Necrons. Pariahs are expensive and rather fragile for their cost (as well as being limited in numbers) while Wraiths dont have the punch for dealing with MEQs and TEQs. Tomb Spyders are also better for their effects rather than CC, while the C'tans are really expensive points wise.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

It's nice and balanced but it's a to put together. I believe the part count was over 100 and annoying as hell. Especially since it's resin you will need a fair amount of skill.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.
