Car boot sales and dealers at flee markets. It was only Sunday when I picked up a Land Raider kit with minimal damage for 50p from a clueless stall trader, and later 10 cadians (built by someone with no idea which way a gun's supposed to point...and one space marine scout... ¬¬) for £2 from an old guy that has had just about every model produced by GW passed through his hands in his time-why pay ten quid for one of those old marine bikers on Ebay when you've got him? So yeah if you want to try your luck I'd scout about the most unlikliest places first, you may find that most models are circa 2nd edition, or not what your looking for, but you may just find what your looking for if your lucky enough (or a guard or marine player...). ^^

If I remember correctly The Warstore is pretty much the best if you're in the US.

Bartertown.
This is especially true if you're not looking for the latest releases and you're willing to take your time and wait for the best deals.
Even more true if you're willing to strip of horrible paintjobs. Nothing brings down the value of a model like a bad paintjob.
