Subject: What is really the most popular unmade codex?

So on another thread someone tossed out that 'everyone' wants and Adeptus Mech Codex which got me thinking if GW were to add one faction to the line up, who do we really want the most? Let's leave out factions taht have a codex but need an update like Necrons and SoBs, just ones that maybe once had a codex or could certainly support one.
Adeptus Mech?
Pirates and Mercenaries?
Lost and the damned/traitor guard?
White Scars?
Chaos Legions?
Eldar Craftworlds?
Something else?
1. What currently codex-less faction would you like to see the most?
2. AND what do you think would be the most popular choice?

I would have to say Adaptus Mech. The role playing System for 40k is full of those people.

Personally it's a toss up between Chaos Legions and Lost and the Damned/Traitor Guard for what I'd like to see the most.
For most Popular...I'd have to say Ad Mech, seems to be a lot of people who want that .

Codex: Crimson Fists.
It's probably the most popular Chapter that doesn't have its own books.
If so many people go CF from only reading C:SM, you gotta figure there's a market.

Definately AdMech, with Lost and the Damned in second. AdMech because it's such an influential part of the background fluff, as well as a crutial part of the Imperium. It's surprising that it hasnt been made into a codex. There was even an article a long time ago where you could field an AdMech Force using the old Guard Rules (where you had the Doctrines system, similar to the Chapter Traits system of the SMs of the time).
Craftworld Eldar did exist before the 4th ed update of their Codex, and was rather fun to play. Alot of the elements got streamlined into the current edition codex (Pathfinders use to be Alaitoc exclusive, and Saim Hann could take any fast attack as compulsory choice, rather than just Jetbikes, and the Wild Rider Chief can be considered a predecessor to the Autarch on jetbike). Given the current direction of Codexes, if Eldar get an update in the near future, they'll likely have "Craftworld" Characters which grant unlocks and special abilites, much like how SM Chapters are now represented by a chapter-specific character like Kantor or Vulkan.

Genestealer Cults!!!!
There was a cult codex released in one of their magazines a long long time ago (2nd or 3rd ed), and I would like to see it revamped for 5th ed.
I would even settle for an added FAQ or printable subset of rules that can be added to the Tyranid codex or something. This would be a great addition to Apocalypse games I think. A unified theme where you could use Orks, Eldar, or anything else made of biomass all in one army driving Tau vehicles, IG vehicles, or anything drivable by fleshy biomass.

Crimson Fists don't need a codex because they are a straight up codex chapter. They may be popular because people don't want to paint yellow or another Ultra army

1: I'd love to see something like an 'outcasts' codex. A set of army lists (probably with minimal fluff) representing the outliers and such. Lost and the Damned. Space Pirates/Mercenaries (Marines, Humans, and Xenos) Genestealer Cults. 'Civilian' Chaos cults. Tau auxilliaries and the like
2: Ad Mech, for sure.

Forgot about that one. My current "want" list is:
1.) AdMech
2.) Genestealer Cult (or at the very least, return of all-stealer armies)
3.) Lost and the Damned (mainly because we can make due with Imp Guard rules).

Actually for crimson fists I could see that as a slightly altered version of ultra marines. Have it so that their termies can take chain fist for free, More heavy weapon options that are different than others and
give them special options with any claw or power fist based weapon.
That is how I invision "true crimson fist" to be like. No extra special rules or captains just special options. The only restriction is that the special rules are that you MUST paint them the exact crimson fist scheme or they do not count as crimson fists.

If I just had to pick one then Ad-Mech.
Makes the most sense as they are autonomous and have plenty of depth and lore to them.
In fact it's kind of odd they don't have a codex.
Of course all the other choices are good candidates but I don't think any of them have as strong of a claim to a new codex as Ad-Mech

Well, I'd probably say LatD or AdMech, based on the fact that these armies that have a significant place in the 40k universe but have no codex support currently.
If you're asking which one I personally would like to play, I've greatly missed the old White Scars 3rd edition IA rules. If they brought back something similar, I would probably start up a WS army on the spot!
If you're asking what completely unsupported army I'd like to add, I'd probably say some form of space dwarves. Not squats, necessarily (although I wouldn't be adverse to it). Demiurg would be fine, or some other form of science-fantasy stuntie. It's bugged me for some time that this major fantasy race has no representation in the 40k universe.

I was thinking this exact thing. It's not that I don't have a problem with the existing Codex, but when I hear topics like this and you suggest Chaos Legions, I just think to myself "here we go again..." waiting for the 'whiners' to come out. So far though, I'm pleasantly surprised.
Personally, for me, although I have no interest in collecting them, I'd say Lost and the Damned; it'd be good to have another non-marine, non-imperium army about and I think they could have a really unique playstyle. Add to that their existing fanbase and potential for vast amounts of modelling and surely it's a winner.
(Ad Mech 2nd).

I'd vote for Ad Mech, but that said there was a WD back in the mists of time with a load of custom rules for the Mentor Legion - which I think would make a decent start for a codex. Anyone have a scan of these rules as I'd love to read them again? (we're talking somewhere prior to WD119 - my copies all went in the bin years ago)
