I just found out about this, and didn't notice any posts about it, so I felt the need to inform the nerdy masses.

So sad, they were my favorite books during my childhood.

Anyway, I wonder if The Rouge Crew was finished.

I think This warrants me changing my avatar.

My Space Marine chapter's fluff is based on the Long Patrol. Those books were epic.

Read Martin the Warrior, all the way to the ending, and you will shed a tear or two. Seriously that book was a bit depressing.

Me and a few friends are actually in the process of forming a metal band that may or may not be called Eulalia!. Seriously.

Yes they do. Martin the Warrior was my favorite. Mossflower was also great. The only one to skip over would be High Rhulain because it sucked bad.

Well.. I was fortunate enough to have seen the guy a few times, and have signed books by him. He started writing because he wanted to give the blind a second/first chance to see things that they never would be able to in reality...

Christ this is more depressing than the Horus Heresy!

I think this will be my avatar until February has ended. Then I might switch it to a pic of Martin the Warrior with a bolter and a chainsword that says "Redwall 40,000" at the top, or just HAL 9000 again.

Lord PoPo, dang you are lucky. All I have is his autograph I got from a friend on a crumpled piece of notebook paper and some posters.

A pity. Though some of his books were a bit preachy to put it nicely, I did enjoy them nonetheless.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Was she a mouse? I haven't read them in quite a while. But the titles do sound familiar.

Yup.

This cover sucks though I have the old one that looked kinda epic where she was on a ship in the middle of a huge storm. But you can see the rope better with this one.

That's quite the shame. I've read a couple of the books, and was looking at introducing them to my kids as they grow a little bit older.

Rest well...

I'm actually sad to hear this The Redwall books are some of my favorites and I still read them regularly. The Bellmaker is my favorite because Finnbarr Galedeep is the coolest, followed by Salamandstron and The Outcast of Redwall. The Badger Lords where always my favrotie characters and where the reason I like strong characters who use axes (Orlando the Axe is a bad ). In fact in honor of Brian I am going to make a Space Wolf Skald based off of Finnbarr.

Them Badgers... nothin' beats those badgers...

In real life, Badgers are one of nature's crazy animals. Some equate them to bipolar disorder, to explain the mood swings (not an accurate term, but simple enough). They will randomly go into a homicidal rage, attacking anything nearby, including bears.

In books, they're crazy cool kings who live in a mountain and run an awesome military and can kick anyone's rear in combat. They were the best. I have to reread these now, starting with number one.

Rather than reading Redwall again, I would suggest Martin The Warrior. Way more epic, and the ending is pretty good, although sad.
