Here's what I'm going for:

A NOD Vertigo Bomber from CnC 3.

Problem is I've never really scratch-built anything before, so I'm not wholly sure where to start, lol.

I was thinking about just chopping up an Eldar Falcon or two because with a bit of cutting and scraping it would fit the bill nicely, but the profile would be a bit fat (not to mention the kits are 25 quid a throw) so if it'd be possible to scratch-build one I'd sooner do that.

Any and all ideas greatly appreciated!

Which end is the front?

I'd go with pvc plumbing bits and foamed pvc sheet.
Can all be superglued together.

There are vent caps that look like the bottom left red glowy bit. I'll assume that's the cockpit?

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

The rarefied atmosphere

yeah, you could even get a stereotypical 1950s style ufo kit for the two round wings.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

I love Nod vehicle designs, they also match up well with Eldar (of both sides). Try basing it off of a Stealth Bomber and get two plastic dinner plates. Cut one into the shape of the wings, and cut down the other to make the panels. For the smooth bitz, use a plastic tubing of some sort and smooth out the edges and corners with some putty and sand paper.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Liking it so far - cheers for the replies

The more I look at it the more I'm thinking chopping up some Wave Serpents would be the best way to start, although even at that the wings would be too stubby... so plastic dinner plates it is, lol!

Gonna order some next payday (Serpents AND dinner plates) and see if I can't rustle up something good.
