Actually, P67 says you place them where the vehicle used to be - not anywhere you want in the crater.
If you're going to start a thread like that you need to make sure you're above reproach...

For a moment I was wondering if a "creator" was a new IG unit from an issue of WD or a FAQ...damn that lack of sleep!

Crater, not creator. Creator is someone who creates. A crater is what's left in the ground after something explodes. Please work on your spelling, capitalization, and punctuation, as your post is nigh-indecipherable.

well one tournament the TO (I played with my IG against him using 150 Boyz because he wants to have fun playing...ahem... oO) wanted to allocate wounds on identical Killakoptaz. I explained to him how it is done, and he declared me narrow minded and he did not accept my explanation saying "You do not seriously question, what I do and have done for years?!" But he followed my instruction only saying "I dont want to discuss in a game, I want to have fun"...
And I really was friendly.
Well after I had taught him keldonian discipline and tank warfare he wanted to ban the manticore from all of his future tournaments (I used 1!)
So what do you think of a TO playing 150 boyz for fun, cheating with wound allocation and forbidding manticores after having faced one?
So he expects you to come with lascannons and meltaguns in order to be "uneffective enough" against his 150 Boyz? lol

I wasn't rude. I pointed out that you needed to clean up your rant. A huge wall of text without pauses is difficult to read. All I asked for was spaces.
On subject of your first post, you will meet some players that complain, whine, and even cheat. If you are unclear about a rule that they are citing, demand to see their codex or the section of the rule book that explains it.
Tabletop Warhammer 40k requires at least 2 players. If the other player isn't any fun to be around, don't play them again. If you are forced to because of a tournament, then demand to see where their silly rules are coming from and complain to the TO if they cheat. Don't let them try to walk over you.
I'm fortunate to play with an awesome group of friends. Stories like these scare me away from ever wanting to play in a store-run tournament or a pick-up game at a store.
or when i was at ard boys i played a fellow around the age of 40-45 he was putting away a unit that just died and he was going back and forth while i was still going on with my turn with a crowd of people watch and turns to me in anger and screams dont roll dice behind my back.
His screaming was over the top and childish. However, with witnesses or not, you were in the wrong to roll dice without him watching. This is a game between the two of you. You aren't doing the dishes or your taxes or any other chore. You are playing a game. You DO NOT ROLL DICE when people aren't watching. It doesn't matter how many "witnesses" or game buddies you have around. Stop doing that. Especially at a tournament.

P61 says place a crater. It gives no guidance as to the size of the crater. P67 says you place the models where the vehicle used to be.

Step 1: Look to the far left side of your keyboard. You'll see a key labeled "Shift". By holding that down and typing a letter, it makes that letter a capital.
Step 2: Learn about proper use of punctuation. Periods and commas do a great job of breaking up your thoughts so that others may understand them better.
Step 3: Stop and think about what you want to say before you type it out. After completing the post, go back and re-read it to make sure it is sensible.
In all seriousness, your post is incredibly difficult to understand. I gathered that you had some bad experiences in some games.
You'll sometimes run across those players. They are either new and unfamiliar with the rules, outright cheating, or simply used to playing a certain way that isn't accurate. I'm sorry about that and hope you better experiences in the future.
Also, never claim how old you are on the internet. The only people that feel the need to justify themselves by saying their age are always 12 year old kids that are lying. If you are, in fact, 22, don't mention that fact. Let your age and maturity come across in your post.

On the crater thing, our group plays it exactly the way that you did. We have made a few that are similar in size to rhinos and to land raiders that we use.
Like Scott says, you're supposed to put the guys where the vehicle was. You played it correctly, Reclusiarch.

The friend I play the most against is similar to this but for a different reason. He seems to be completely inept at reading his rule book. Oh, he has one, and a codex for his orks. But he can't read it for some reason. God knows why. So I have a lot of the problems like you describe, but only because he doesn't know the rules, and expects me to pick up the slack. Case in point: My 10 strong assault termies deep strike about 7 inches from the trukk holding his deathstar nobz. I then pop the trukk with a lascannon, and it explodes. I use a large blast template as a crater (its all I had on hand, and was about the right size), and his nobz take up almost the entire thing. On his turn he rolls for difficult terrain and rolls a one. He wants to move toward the left. So he then takes the right most nob, places him on the left edge of the blast template, then proceeds to measure his 1 inch. He tries to do this for the entire unit. I then tried to explain why he couldn't do that, but he wasn't getting it. To be fair, I really didn't want his nobz getting the charge on my terminators, but he was doing that improperly. We went back and forth for at least 10 minutes, yet I can assure you he has never cracked open that rulebook, so I have no idea what his argument was. We eventually compromised by having half the unit on the template, and half off. He was still out of assault range. That was just one of the many cases where I end up rules lawyering, solely because he doesn't know the rules. Oh and he has been playing for almost a full year, so I wouldn't call him a real noob.
