Beginning my Tau army. This list was made to maximize firepower and versatility. HQ - (1) Shas'el w/TL MP, Flamer, HW Filter - 75 (2) Shas'vre Guard w/TL MP, Flamer, 1 HW Filter - 117 Elites -(3) Shas'ui Suits w/TL MP, Flamer - 141 (3) Shas'ui Suits w/TL MP, Flamer - 141 (3) Shas'ui Suits w/TL MP, Flamer - 141 Troops -(6) Fire Warriors - 60 Devilfish w/SMS, MT, TA, DP - 120 (6) Fire Warriors - 60 Devilfish w/SMS, MT, TA, DP - 120 (6) Fire Warriors - 60 Devilfish w/SMS, MT, TA, DP - 120 (6) Fire Warriors - 60 Devilfish w/SMS, MT, TA, DP - 120 Heavy - (1) Railhead Gunship w/DP, 2x Burst Cannons, BSF, Tracker - 170 (1) Railhead Gunship w/DP, 2x Burst Cannons, BSF, Tracker - 170 (2) Shas'ui Broadsides w/AS, Leader w/HW Lock, HW BSF - 173 Total 1848 The main strategy is to use the 4 Devilfish as mobile cover for your Crisis Teams while they fire at transports/MCs. Keep the Broadside Team in the back (preferably in cover) firing at large vehicles (LRs and such). Keep the Railheads behind the wall of Devilfish/Suits firing to suppress large tanks/help with transport popping and maybe lay down a submunition or two. The suits all have flamers to help deal with the troops from the transports. The main idea of this list is to deny your opponents mobility through destruction of transports and using your flamers to deny enemy infantry from getting into melta range on yours. The 12/13 armor of your tanks along with Disruption Pods should be able to (mostly) hold out against most of your opponents ranged firing. If fighting against a horde army just let the submunitions fly along with the Devilfish weaponry. When the units get small enough, drop out the FWs for some added shooting. I can forsee this list having large amounts of trouble with Jump pack BAs. I take no plasma's because of their large point cost so I don't really have a way to deal with tons of flying power armor. Let me know what you think of this list. Thank you.
