I could make better replicas than those armed with only some cheddar and a butter knife...
But yes, highly illegal. Casting for personal use is a grey area, but casting for profit is black and white. And I like the way he puts "NOT FORGEWORLD" in the title as if that covers him, while also making these items come up in searches for Forgeworld.

Yes, illegal.
You should dob them in to Forge World, who will have a word with the authorities.

Just a warning: casting for personal use is NOT a gray area. GW will probably not bother to come after you for a few models, but they certainly can if they wanted to.
Copyright protection has no "personal use" clauses. Recreating a copyright protected work is barred.

In your legal system perhaps. In the german legal system you are free to do with it what you want. However you might not even gift it to somebody. I personally thing thats a better approach.

A much saner approach at least. I'm much too hopeless in regards to the hobby stuff to even attempt my own molds so it wouldn't matter if they sold the molds directly, it wouldn't help me at all.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |
