Hi guys,

Not got my SoB Codex with me at the moment (work!) but last night this came up again and it's bugging me...

I run a Seraphim unit with 2 x Hand Flamer models and cannot for the love of me work out the attacks on the charge as it says "counts as two close combat weapons" whereas the Inferno Pistol counts as "an additional weapon in close combat" - two different wordings which to me is the same rule??!

Seraphim with Hand flamer gets 1A basic, 1A for Charge, 1A for additional weapon or does she get 2A for close combat weapons? I've only played SoB during 5th Ed so I understand it might be have been different in older rules.

Sorry for the noob question, I have only ever played Tau so CC is not something I tend to worry about!!!

You gain a bonus attack for having 2 close combat weapons. So you end up with 3 attacks on the charge, 2 normally.

The difference comes from the fact that while dual hand flamers are a Seraphim only item, there are other units in the game that can take the inferno pistol. The end result is the same, with seraphim getting +1 attacks for wielding two inferno pistols, while the any character carrying just one will still have to equip a second CCW in order to get the bonus.
