Fairly simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer. Are slaan still able to channel through a skink on a stegadon once it has entered combat with a unit?

Also, the errata says to change "Channeling" to "vassal". I can't seem to find anything clarifying what vassal means, so I assume they did this to alleviate confusion regarding channeling power dice.

Vassal just means they are a servant of the Slaan. Just to avoid confusion!

If the skink counts as casting the magic missile, then no you cannot "vassal" while in close combat. If it is merely range and LOS that is worked out from the skink, then you could do so.
