With the initial release of the Plague Toads I was thrilled. These creatures are Exactly what I've been hoping for in a Daemon army, bizarre mutations of normal things and possible even completely made up chaos stuff, coming into the table-top gaming. I was disappointed to see that they're only for Fantasy but was still considering getting some. Today I have rechecked the FW site and saw they riders are now available for the Toads which brought to my mind a question, is it possible that these will eventually make it into the 40K world?

I suppose this thread is for general discussion of if they will but I'd also love to hear if there are any other chaos creatures that they might make, or simply ones you'd love to see.

Why would they be 40k at all?

But you could use them as various things. Beasts of Nurgle? with the riders, maybe even Nurgle Bloodcrushers. Or for CSM obliterators... (or spawn, but why would you want a spawn )

They could be a mutant of local fauna, or a certain type of Daemon (after all Juggernauts look like angry rhinos but they're clearly daemons) if transitioned into 40k.

Currently though they'd be perfect replacements for Bloodcrushers in a Nurgle-themed army. While the rules are not fluffy, it'd certainly make the unit seem so.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Why would they be in 40K, because I think that there are so many more Daemons that could be made, and made very well, that we're not seeing. I've wanted to create a 40K Nurgle/Tzeentch army but even with all the units available it doesn't feel like a 'proper' daemonic assault. I guess I've always hoped for more variety, almost mini-codexes for each god. Whole varieties of Plague and death creatures for Nurgle, exemplified beautifully with the Toads, wide range of mutated aberrations for Tzeentch and etc. for the other gods. Something like adding an additional fast attack for Slaanesh, the Serpents of Slaanesh or something suitably appropriate for a god.

To sum up what I've wanted and what I hope their doing is an expansion into having full daemon hosts for each god.

...urrrr... I dunno

I do love the idea of Nurgle zombie dinosaurs. Whoah, that'd be something to see. Imagine the looks of terror as a plague-ridden Tyrannosaur crushed your opponent's Land Raider flat!
Course, this is but the opinion of a demented idiot, but even so.
