Krylon flat white, and white primer.. both work well for me, as long as the temperature is over 32 F...

Anti-Armour Swiss Guard

Duplicolor sandable auto primer.
White, grey or black. Works like a charm provided you follow the rules (about humidity and temp).
I can't get the Armoury one in coo-ee of my place (over an hour's travel time to the nearest stockist) - but the local auto place is around the corner.

Cheap and is the best primer of any color i have found. they also have it in a rusty red color.
