I am thinking about picking up some Horde figures, but i have some questions for those who have picked them up.

Do they come with color guides or instructions of any kind?
what is the height of the war beasts? Really about 2" - 3"?

The beasts are big.
I've got trolls but I can tell you that the troll blitzer is 2.25" from top of base to top of shoulders. Skorne are generally bulkier but if you compare prices between troll gribblies & skorne gribblies you should get some idea of height.
Also the PP website lists the base size in their gallery so that gives you another pointer to the model size.
All the colour guides are in the rules & expansion books or in the gallery.
Some of them are a pig to put together but a basic diamgram is usually provided.
The PP gallery (again) has some 360 views which are also very handy.
Good luck to you!!

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Thanks for the paint info.

I have been all over their forums and site. Those miniatures are really impressive looking.

As for the size, I got the base info from their site, and that's where I came up with 2"-3". Most of the larger ones are 50mm bases. They don't appear to be much taller then the base diameter. 50mm = 1.96".

Seems awfully small for the detail level. I'm used to warhammer.
