Hello, I am making a chaos marine army for my little brother and I need some advice, here's the list we have so far

HQ:
Deamon Prince w/ wings and mark of khorne 140
Chaos Terminator lord w/ mark of khorne, and deamon weapon 155

Elites:
5 Possessed chaos marines w/ possessed champion 140
Chaos Dreadnought w/ plasma cannon 105
10 chaos terminators 300

Troops:
15 chaos space marines w/ Heavy bolter, icon of khorne and Aspiring Chamion, champion has power fist 245
8 khorne berzerkers w/ Skull Champion 183 squad has rhino w/ havoc launcher 50

Fast attack:

Heavy Support:
Chaos Havocs w/ 2 lascannons, and 2 plasma cannons 180

It sucks...... I would really love to know if you could beat anyone with this list.....

for a start, one Rhino? Dead first turn against nearly every single army. Which leaves your whole army on foot.
I don't know what you would want to do with Terminators and Lord. but deep striking is only really an option with a forwards icon (rhino moving foward 12" first turn....), or combi-weapons (or both...)

Your squad set ups are all wrong as well.
5 PF in terminators, probably doesn't work. You either need combi-weapons or a mix of CCW.
Dreadnoughts can be fun, but a solo one, probably best with just CCW? (although Plasma is nice)

If you really want to have foot squads. I don't really know how to tell you to equip them.
Zerker champion needs a Power weapon or fist, i prefer fist, some prefer PW

Havocs, probably aren't ever worth it, but definatly not a mix of LC and PC your mixing AT and Anti-MC/heavy infantry essentially.


You would probably be better off going all Khorne, with 3 squads of Zerkers, maybe a terminator squad in a LR. Try and come up with a slightly more solid list if you can, or at least give a sense of what you want your army to be like...

You need to drop the possessed. Or at least the possessed champ. The champ upgrade is useless for them.

Rodgers is right. You need variation in the Terminators. What are they designed to do? Part of what makes CSM terminators awesome is that they don't have Powerfist by default. So much customization!

And if you, drop the heavy bolter from the CSM squad. It sends mixed signals. Being kitted to assault doesn't mesh at all with a heavy weapon.
It makes you pick either or. Instead, give them an assault weapon. Like Melta or a flamer. AND A RHINO.
Nothing more sexy then zooming across the board, popping something, then assaulting the people inside.
