A list I've been running recently. Mostly just gets the job done with 3 Trygons and 3 Harpies as the lists core.
Can be an all reserves list if I lose the turn to go first, if I don't everything starts on the board.
One Harpy and the Trygon Prime always DS, in order to get mid-late game backfield threats
Tervigon hits the devgants with onslaught and they go running forward shooting death into cover.
Harpies take out transports/ juicy troop clusters. When the termagants move, they leave harpy sized holes to avoid assaults.
Venomthrope thrown in for cheesy cover saves and target priority confusion. People hate this guy for some reason.
Ideally, the opponents force is either dealing with trygons or walking into massed fire.
HQ 200
Tyranid Prime Dual boneswords, Regen
Tyranid Prime Dual boneswords, Regen
Troops 565
30 Devgants
Tervigon Toxin Adrenals Onslaught
14 Termagants to play ring around the objective.
Elites 55
Venomthrope
Heavy 670
2 Trygons with AG
1 Trygon prime AG
Fast 510
3 Harpies with TL Heavy Venom cannon/ cluster spines

You seem pretty fond of the Harpies, Doom. Might have to try them sometime. Whats your current view on them? (Tactics etc?)
Anyways, i like seeing some Venomt's for once. You hardly ever see them in any lists.
What about the primes, when the Venomt's gets blown to hell? Join with Dev-gaunts?

Triple Harpy is my new favorite. Makes a joke out of Armor 11, can be put out of LOS, then fly 12" to fire a twin linked S9 blast. Now what was in the rhino is walking, and its never going to be fast enough.
Or, they can deep strike behind tanks and get rear armor with this blast. I do this with one to support the trygon prime. Aiming to blow up 2 tanks on entry.
Yep. One joins the dev gants, who start moving once thinned out, so need mobile synapse.
The other stays with the home objective, usually stuck in a corner with layers of termagant units. If somone comes close, he moves out, detaches, then assaults, making them pile in backwards away from the objective.

Yeah, that makes sense...
How does your opponents often react to the various threats?
I could imagine how they'd want to get rid of the Venomt ASAP. After that, perhaps the Tervigon. But the triple-trygons sounds pretty nasty. I'd like to see that squad that stands up to three of them

Yup. Exactly that.
Tervigon is singled out first because its not a duplicate, and people are drilled into thinking that is a weakness. Too bad its already done its job.
Venomthrope dies usually in the first turn of enemy shooting as well.
Then harpies, because by this time trygons are in assault.
Minor shooting on the gant squads but nothing they weren't built for.

I think i would personally miss the Tervigon's abilities... I'd really love to build a list, that focused on keeping the Venom's alive...
- If you combine it's abilities with the Tervigon's, it's gonna pump up those little, weak Termagants like crazy. Alone having the HT and Tervigon near them makes them do crazy stuff. If you were able to keep the Venom's intact, we'd be looking at Termagants having devastating effect.
- However, as for the saturation effect, the Venom's are plain nasty. But their pricetag and their T4 still just scurries me away from them.
Anyways, i really have to try out the Harpies. They're pricy, yeah. T5, yes... But it isn't much different than keeping your Flyrant alive. And winged beasts are just nice to include.

I've never even looked at the Harpys in my codex (mind it's pretty new but still), think I didn't like their name or looks. But looking at em again, they seem like fun models to field. 2 pieplates in one turn is bound to mess with horde armies. What model do you use for them?
