My first ever Fantasy army was actually an orc army, which I got from the 6th edition starter set. Given the new release of Orcs and Goblins, as well as the amazing Arachnarork Spider (still cant spell that word off the top of my head) I decided to return to it again.

Currently I have the following items:

16 some odd Choppa Boyz
16 Archer Boyz (Arrar boyz I think was what they're called)
20 Black Orcs (10 are unbuilt)
20-40 some odd Night Goblins (I tend to call em Black Gobbos) from the Skull Pass set
2 Boar Chariots
2 Night Goblin characters (one warlord, one Shaman)
10 Spider Riders (also Skull pass)
1 Boss on Boar.
1 Troll (normal, also from the Skull Pass set)

All of this is rather haphazard and really random. My original intention was to make a Black Orc Force and split the army in two, with Night Gobbos being a separate army. The release of the new models however has me thinking about a themed force, either an all Savage Orc Army, All Spider Army (Forest Gobbo Spider Riders filling out core, with the Arachnork and Gobbo boss on Giant Spider filling out the rest) or all cavalry army (Savage Orc Boyz with Core, Boarboyz for Special). I am definately picking up some Boar Boyz and the Arachnarork, but I really have no direction after that. Some advice from veteran Fantasy Players (and especially Ork players) would be really appreciated.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

It's hard to give O&G advice right now because of the new book coming out, but I for one would suggest mixing the forset gobbos and savage orcs, I can imagine those two going pretty close hand in hand.

And if your night goblins are unpainted maybe give them a jungle sort of look to go along with it.

1000pt rat pack - Clan Cozen
1000pt Savage Waagh
