The first six months of 2008 the Games Workshop website published a Brass Scorpion Builder's Guide based on two different construction methods, one created by me using two Defilers and one by Ed Sires using three Defilers. Once all the GW websites were consolidated into a single global site based in the UK in spring of 2008, that material was lost. A friend in GW Customer Service then asked me if I had anything they could provide to customers who asked for assistance with Brass Scorpion construction at which time I provided him with a copy of my source material that had been used by the web team to create the now defunct online guide. US Customer Service would then email that material to customers who requested assistance building Brass Scorpions. That came to an end when the rest of the GW HQ moved from Maryland to Memphis last summer.

Brass Scorpion builders in need of assistance, despair no longer! If you are looking for a Brass Scorpion Builder's Guide, formal online help is available again. Tonight I found a website that has a complete archived copy of the builder's guide from the old Games Workshop US website. They saved all the text and photos from the GW US website builder's guide, making the full online guide based on my material once again available to those in need.

Here's the link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/43031599/Brass-Scorpion-1

If anyone has any hobby questions after reading the guide, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to provide more information, though I think you'll find the guide pretty thorough.

And for anyone wishing to go more massive, they also archived the Ed Sires version of the Builder's Guide: http://www.scribd.com/doc/43031876/Brass-Scorpion-2

It's ashame that GW doesnt have conversion articles of this quality on their site anymore. It'd definately drive up sales since I'm actually tempted to buy 5 defiler kits and try out both now.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
