I was going to make my purchases but considering the vast amounts of raiders one needs (which is $26-$30 for one online) plus three Ravagers... and some Incubi you're running up a tab of almost $300. This still doesn't include any troops, you'll probably need more raiders, and HQ choices. This isn't as expensive as a IG army but still way more costly than power armor armies.
Considering you need to paint all of them too... I feel like a DE army requires considerable more $, time, and effort then pretty much any space marine army. Considering I already spent a lot of money on a all-metal Vostroyan Imperial Guard army... >_>

No, the pound rose up to almost $1.70 now so it doesn't make as much sense buying from the UK as it did 1 year ago.
Also actually placed a order from them in December and when I sent in a inquiry they told me they forgot about it and only JUST sent the order 4 weeks AFTER I placed it online.
Maelstrom games has terrible organization and service. Furthermore it takes almost 3-5 weeks to ship to the US.
I'm giving up on ordering from the UK pretty much after terrible experiences from both DarkSphere and Maelstrom

If that Vostroyan army is unpainted, what are you doing buying more models? Paint your spacemen, son!
Also, why aren't you buying from Warstore? 20% off would make that $300 pill a bit easier to swallow. As for the cost? Well, no army in 40k is exactly cheap.

Yeah but TheWarStore doesn't have a online shopping cart.
I don't feel like calling them in person and also this place looks just as good and cheaper too.

DE is comparatively cheap all things considered. A squad of 5 Metal Incubi are just a tad higher than half the price of 5 Plastic Terminators. The Ravager is a bit costly, but the Raider is rather well priced (It's one of the cheaper transports moneywise). Wyches and Kabalite Warriors are also decently cheap compared to SMs. Reavers are also very cheap compared to other bike squadrons (SM Bike squadrons are a least 50 bucks here, compared to the 42 of DE bikers. Eldar Guardian Bikers are 18 each, making for almost 60 bucks for 3).
If you're going for the more expensive items (converting Venoms, and buying Ravagers) maybe wait till they make a Battle Force for the DE (all things considered, they'll likely make one sometime soon, most likely with the DE's second wave).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do. |

IMO Dark Eldar need a battle force. Makes it easier for newbies to get into it.

Eh, DE isn't a newbe friendly army.
I don't want them to get their face ripped off 10x in a row and then quit the hobby. Like at this thread over at Warseer: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5303919#post5303919

If the place was cheaper, so be it. They're the same 20% off that Warstore is though. Not wanting to make a phonecall to make an order sounds odd. I can't understand the aversion to it. You could also just send an email out with what you want; Warstore is a good group of folks. Anyway, shop where you want, just wanted to get some facts straight

1.) Every GW army is expensive.
2.) GW forced online stores not to make GW products available through a cart system. Seems like this strategy worked here
