Hey people ! Some quick questions

1. When a tactical disembarks from a vehicle can it decide to use the Combat Squads rule? Since the rule states "The decision to split the unit into combat squads, as well as which models go into each combat squad, must be made when the unit is deployed." Does a unit within a vehicle count as deployed?

2. Can I put inside a Stormraven a unit that consists of Mephiston, 3 Sang. Priests, a Librarian and a Chaplain and maybe another named character? All of them are IC so I believe I can stick them all together.

3. When a Dread disembarks from StormRaven it can launch an assault right? The rule says "Models disembarking from a Storm raven can launch an assault on the turn they do so"

4. When I have Dante and a Sang. Guard unit do I have to equip Sang. Guard with Death Masks too to take the effect, or does Dante's mask covers it?

5. When I move flat out in the scout move with a Baal Predator, can I pop smoke launchers? Or the scout move does not count as moving within the game?

6. How exactly does the ranges go for StormRaven movement? Up to 6" fire all weapons. Up to 12" one main and all defensive. Up to 24" only with the power of the machine spirit. Correct?

7. On the StormRaven rules it says you can equip "Twin Linked Lasscannons" does this mean it is 2 Twin Linked LC or one?

2. Mephie is a one-man unit right? So why can't he be joined by other ICs?

4. According to the rules of Death Mask, it needs the unit to have Death Masks. So if one model in it has Death Mask why doesn't it count as the whole unit having DMs?

7. But it says Twin Linked LasscannonS . Why would it state it that way if it was only one? If it was one it would say Twin Linked Lasscannon

2) because ICs are explicitly prohibited from joining units that always consist of one model, page 48 in the bullet points

4) because ICs are separate units in close combat, see page 49

7) Because that is how it is worded. There are two lascannonS firing as a pair, so you get 1 pair of lascannonS that count as a single, twin linked lascannon.

Actually, Nos if you read more into assault. The IC does not count as a second unit until attacks are made, so your interpretation is incorrect. That also ends when you find out who won combat.
I digress, as long as a unit that is assaulted by a unit with a deathmask it, that unit must pass a leadership test, or it has the negative effects.

This goes down to horrible writing and even worse editing.

If they assault Dante + Guard, then they have assaulted a unit with a Death Mask (I am assuming that Dante's Mask does count as a Death Mask).

That's all that the trigger requires. If a unit multi-assaulted a unit of Guard (with Masks) and an Assault Squad, then they'd still have to test for that assault.
