So as of now I am using Testors dullcoat #1160 (paint on) as a final sealer and protective coat for my minatures.
However ive been having an issue where the sublte highlights are being removed as I apply the finish. Even if I lightly take one brush pass very lightly with a brush the highlights still come off.

Does anyone know how to avoid this? I was thinking of picking up the spray can version I think its # is 1260. But if anyone has any other recomendation or ways to avoid this please let me know!

Thanks in advance.

I use the spray mostly. Tried the brush on dullcote and the fumes were too much and it was actually taking off layers of wash and highlights as you mentioned. The spray doesn't remove the highlights but it does make them more subtle. I've recently started using Windsor Newton Galleria Matte Varnish and this stuff is great so far. It comes in various sizes. I got the big 500ml bottle so I am set for quite some time. If you can find a decent art supply place nearby you should give it a try. you'll be pleasantly surprised.
