Hello, please help.

It says slayers can take 2 axes (additional attack) or great weapons. Why would I choose to take a GW over 2 axes when the 'slayer' special rule would buff my Str to match toughness.

Surely an extra attack is better when youre gonna get S5 vs a T5 anyway.

It's a situational thing I would say. If your fighting armored knights, having great weapons will help get through all that armor. If you were against goblins however, the additional attacks could prove more useful. Since slayers can alternate the type of axe, it just comes down to what your against.
