Good to know but for WWII models I think 1/35 works best. There really aren't that many things showing scale on the models and the fact is most WWII vehicles are smaller than we think. There were light tanks there that are smaller than a modern hummer. WWII engines and logistics just couldn't support some of the large vehicles we see today.
So if someone is using the BigBadGermanTank as a Superheavy 1/35 will look better.

That vehicle, with legged tracks and wings really would fit in well.

Actually, regarding scale, I recently built some B-17's in both 1/72 and 1/48. Seeing as how the Marauder from Foregworld is just a slab sided B-17, I just call them Pre-Heresy Marauders. Anyway the 1/72 were wayway too small and the 1/48 still look a hair too small. 1/35 may not be bad at all, giving a superheavy more oomph and yet not making your models loom like oompa loompas.

Sorry, but 1/35 scale is way too big. I've used 1/35 scale tanks as the basis for several Battlewagons are they are always larger than Land Raiders.
Just take a look at any 1/35 scale figure. They're almost 2x larger than the average GW mini.

What's sort of weird is I'm currently doing research for my FOW Early War Germans, which I plan to base on the 196th Heer Division and the 40 Abt. Panzer Co. who participated in the invasion of Norway (Operation Weserubung).
Sure enough, I came across the NbFz V!
6 of these tanks ever existed and all of them served in the Norwegian campaign (2 of which were destroyed).
Here's a good writeup on the NbFz:
