After joining Dakka I quickly posted an army list of mine so I could get some feedback on it. It was more or less laughed off, but that's okay! After collecting all the constructive criticism from you great Dakkites I've managed to come up with something I feel is a little bit more solid. Money is tight so I wasn't able to get 3 Dreadnoughts and try them out like I'd like but I'm making do with what I have.

I realize that there is still a little bit of less necessary stuff, like Power Fists, but I'm working with what I have. Unfortunately I don't have Havocs, nor do I have Dreadnoughts or a Predator.

EDIT: I realized how overly equipped my Terminators were for "Termicide" and I felt like the Khorne Berzerkers didn't need 2 Plasma Pistols. Now I'm nearly 100 points under. This is great news!

Well, looks pretty standard.
I'd include a Greater Daemon with a PM AC as vessel dropping his pf.

Are you keeping your LR empty? why not get rid of the berzerkers rhino and use the LR?

I quite like that list, but i think there are a lot of this that could be improved. (Two things to bare in mind with my advice, i have never played 2500 points, and haven't played Chaos for about a year)

I would have though two Daemon Princes would be a standard choice at 2500? One just seems a little underwhelming. And i would imagine, even hiding behind tanks, would still probably be visible to something. And die fairly quickly :(

As you said with your Termies, they are termicide (although a larger unit size than normal), and they can always Deep Strike, and then you have 2 Land Raiders to use just as Fire support. Maybe get another terminator, and have two units of 3 to Deep Strike in?

I prefer units of 7 Plagues and 8 Zerkers (But that is a personal preference) And i like Lesser Daemons. Are you planning on putting the Zerkers in the Heavy support Land Raider?

With the heavies, i like to double up, (or triple) So i would go with either 2 units of Oblits or 2 Defilers.
Greater Daemon would be nice like wuestenfux said.

I think you definatly have a solid base, and its just little things, that you will probably find yourself while playing.
Just a quick question, what size boards do you play 2500 on?

The terminators seem pretty worthless, IMO. The point of melta spam is to deep strike them. Throw some CC stuff on them and drop the meltas if you're using land raiders.

The second land raider is a bit random. Chaos land raiders don't have potms, so you have to sit around doing nothing to get those lascannon shots in.

The rest seems good.

Well, I figured redundancy would be key at 2500 points but I can see where your guy's feedback would really help.

I really appreciate it. I think dropping the Rhino for the Berzerkers is probably a good idea, and throwing close combat on the Terminators is probably a better idea than having them try and Deep Strike in and blast stuff with melta.

Never. Ever. Drop transports. No cost is too high for moving 12 inches in an armored vehicle.

IMO, I'd just split all those plague marines into units of five with the same wargear. It's a 210 point tank killer with FNP. For a 2500 point game, I could fit 5 units of five and a powerhouse unit of ten. Better field coverage and more meltas. I'd recommend havoc launchers on all the rhinos, just so they have something to do When the guys jump out.

CSM is one of those armies that gets amazingly good at higher points values. It's just up to you to decide what to include.

You misunderstood me. I would drop the Rhino for the Berzerkers to put them in the Land Raider instead.

Though 5 squads of 5 would definitely be ferocious I would think you're beginning to spread your resources a bit thin. 5 Plague Marines with Feel No Pain, while good, cannot last long when or if their Rhino gets trashed.

Add another Prince and Greater Daemon.

Throw the Berzerkers into the Land Raider - change the Terminators to lightning claws and MoK and change the Defiler to Obliterators - lot better then with more ranged fire power and a Raider carrying troops which should be carried.
