Last weekend there was an 1850 point, 3 round 40K tournament at Legions Games in Pittsburgh. There were 29 participants. Almost every army was present (no Witch Hunters, no Black Templars). The results were as follows:
1st place: Me with my Space Wolves - Harald Deathwolf's Great Company (I won by 1 point)
2nd place: Deathwing
3rd place: Chaos Deamons
Best Painted: Ravenwing
I had three great games and three great opponents. Everyone present seemed to have a good time. There were several Dakka members present so hopefully some of them will come on here and chime in about the event. There was close to around $500 worth of prizes distributed to 8 different players. All told, excellent event. Thanks to Legions Games for hosting it. For some pictures of the event go to: http://snakeyesgaming.blogspot.com/ and click on the Recent Tournaments section.
There will be another 1850 Warhammer 40K tournament at Legions games on Saturday March 26th. Snake Eyes Gaming will be hosting this event and there will be $150 of Games Workshop prize support in addition to the entry fees (so the prizes should be even bigger than the previous tournament!). There will be a detailed posting of event specifics appearing soon both here and at http://snakeyesgaming.blogspot.com/. Stay tuned for more details, I hope to see over 30 people there this time.

This was a great tournament, learned a lot about playing against Chaos Daemons (first time for that). I had a great last matchup with Grey Knights, went down to the last turn, my Blood Angels eeked aout a minor victory. I have had two great tournament experiences at Legions, and will definitely be attending the March 26th event.

Yes it was a great tourney. Lost to you in the final game, but hey it was Tau vs Assault wolves, could have went either way if you would have actually failed a save. The amount of prize support handed out was great and hopefully the turnout on March 26th will be just as good if not better. We are trying to fill all the tables at Legions front room with 40k for a day. This means we will need about 40 people or so.

Was a great tournament, had three good opponents and didnt have any games where I didnt have fun. Plus having my necrons do half way decent was nice.
