In the Astronomican today there's the announcement of Tomb Kings coming out in MAY with a new book and models! Get excited! Here's the text:

An ancient race that has lain dormant for thousands of years, the Tomb Kings now awaken from within their ancient burial pyramids. Cheated from the eternal life that they were promised, the Tomb Kings are instead doomed to an eternal undeath - awakened they thirst for vengeance against those who would disturb their slumber.

At the command of these undying lords march legions of implacable Skeleton Warriors, hosts of chariots crewed by long-dead crewmen and towering statues carved from unyielding stone.

The armies of the Tomb Kings are vast, unstoppable hordes that know neither fear nor remorse - and they shall not rest until all who stand against them are laid low.

This May Warhammer: Tomb Kings is released, containing everything you need to use the legions of Nehekhara in your games of Warhammer.

Alongside the new book we'll also be releases a slew of amazing new miniatures for Tomb Kings players to collect and add to their armies. Details are being kept firmly under wraps for now, but more details will be available over the coming months. To make sure you're the first to see the new models and read the latest news keep your eyes fixed to the pages of White Dwarf, the Games Workshop newsletter and the What's New Today blog.

In the meantime, if you're a Tomb Kings player (or thinking about becoming one) it's time to start building up your Undead hordes in preparation for the new arrivals. So, out with the large drybrush (and the pot of Bleached Bone) and onwards to glory!

Presented below are two exclusive sneak peeks at the upcoming releases. Please keep checking back on the website, and in White Dwarf for more information in the near future.

That's fine... That's a generic forum that applies to all games. I'm glad it gets reposted here. Don't have a cow, man.

Yeah, it's good to have a specific thread in the WHFB sections that most of the here-for-40k traffic misses and, conversely, given that the here-for-WHFB crowd may miss News & Rumors (especially since it is dominated by 40k).

Okay, those of you who have mentioned starting Tomb Kings (not going to name names... you know who you are!). No excuses now

Here's hoping for new plastic skeletons, despite rumors to the contrary!

the Release announcment stated new sculpts were incoming.

that could mean the basic skellys not getting updated, but i wouldn't be surprised if they were. the model line is old.

I actually like the old skellies. I'm not a fan of the newer VC models, sure they are more anatomically correct for being a skeleton inside an Empire human model but they are to skinny and flimsy.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

That was my gripe about playing Empire. the soldiers were always falling apart or breaking, and there was some freeakin many of them

I was referring to the N&R thread where it sounded like the basic skellies were not on the list :-/ but I hope they are!

Finally something official!
I decided I'd get into WHFB when TK get an update. Time to get IoB and sell the plastics, I think I have enough time to get a grasp of the basic rules before the new army book is released. Bought the old army book some time ago just so I could get a feel of the background but I've refrained from buying models 'cause I've no idea what equipment I should give the skellies.

On another note, I hope GW redo the horses 'cause the old one's are a joke. Horses with bony tails wtf? Lizardhorses?!?

Anyway, hooray for Khemri!

I bought IoB as an excuse to get back into WHFB so I could dust off my oft-ranked up but seldom played Tomb Kings. The HE models (which are REALLY well sculpted, IMHO) kept me distracted from the creeping despair I felt whenever I would read these forums and see what people were saying about the struggling TKs.

I'm very happy about this.

Also, I always liked the horses. I know a lot of people don't, but the anatomy always seemed pretty accurate to me. The bony part does seem a bit odd until you "get under the hood" of one, so to speak and realize how long their coccyx really is.
