Hi Dakka,
Whiles looking at the ork codex I saw the warbuggie upgrade to a skorcha, which i think is pretty freaking cool (along wiv beein fast 'n' burny. but when upgrading one of the warbuggies up to a skorcha do I only pay the points for the skorcha upgrade or do I have to pay points (for the skorcha and the warrtrak up grade). Also do you think that I could chop up a old rhino a bit to make one (so I can hove one mother of all promethium tanks on it)? Thank you all

Heya Waagh, please be very careful about listing point cost in forums, GW gets a lil pissy about that.

A) Yes, you must pay the upgrade cost on top of the base cost.

B) This would fall under you standard converting/counts as rules. If it looks like what it's supposed to, is WYSIWYG, and is acceptable to your opponent then it shouldn't be an issue. Use GW's official model a reference.

Page 49 of the Ork codex

If you have the Skorcha upgrade, you get a skorcha and the trakk unit. So, by paying 10 points for a Skorcha, you get both included.

You're certainly allowed to buy both upgrades for a total of 15 points, but you're wasting the 5 points for the Wartrakk upgrade.
