Is your partner going to be going troop heavy? In an annihilation game you could be good, but in objective based, the gaunts will get picked on.

Woah, just noticed that their are 20 T3 6+ save scoring units. Drop stuff for 2 tervigons. Don't even bother arguing. 20 dead gaunts and you'll be lucky to score a draw.

First off, my partnet will be troop heavy, secondly i dont plan on them having units on the board past turn 6, With this list it drops alot of multipul threats at once, i have recently tried it against SM and Tau working very effectivly, they conceded at turn 4 in spear head.

Secondly, my partner is necron, we are planning on useing the AOE leadership tests to do a fair bit of damage, ( its not our main tatic ), secondly the doom of malan'tai is possibily one of the most strongest units concieved, you failed to realize that there will 4k worth of points on a 6x4 board making it very crowded, alot of damage just for 140 points.

DoM can be insta-gibbed by melta, missiles, lascannons, manticores, bassies, hydras, broadsides, and SMs w/ PFs or THs, nobs w/ PKs, rokkit launchas, PK warbosses, etc. 1 failed invuln and it doesn't matter how many wounds he has.

Tervigon is one of the best units in the new dex, ask any experienced tyranid player and they will tell you just that. The ability to spawn 3D6 gaunts a turn all with glands and toxin sacs, AND give them FNP, is truly an amazing ability.

Troop heavy necrons will lose. Warriors are truly horrible units, and destroyer armies (the good ones) rarely have more than 20 warriors.
