I second the Army Painter Dragon Red spray.

When that is finished I did 3 washes... Baal Red, Devlan Mud, Baal Red again... very happy with the results

For the 'stripper lipstick red' (that I used on mine) use the Pure Red.

Works like a charm.

That is definately the simplest way to paint a decent looking army. If army painter supplies are not available in your area, or you dont want to buy online, you could also spray gun your models with mechrite red, followed by Red Gore, then coat them with Delvan mud and drybrush blood red. Best of Luck!

Spray black, dry brush Mechrite red, dry brush scab red, dry brush red gore, dry brush blood red, dry brush bloodred+ orange.

You will need to use the big fat tank-dry brush or something similarly large.

Well it's not showstopper quality but the results are good for "no expert techniques" as per the OP's request:

To be honest it looks a lot better than i thought it would, I prefer a darker red myself but that is a nice land raider.

Agreed the darker red gives a more of a grungy look which is just hot

Take a look at AncientGod's awesome Blood Angels thread on Warseer.

Seriously, it's dead simple, crispy-clean, but it's got awesome written on it from top to bottom.

Hope Ancient God doesn't mind me posting it here...
