hey, im just starting to get together a IG army and as cadians are way to boring (not boring but lack character). I decided i wanted to make my own regiment. I think iv come up with an ok idea please criticise as long as it constructive or help with individual rules tactics and way of making them individual.

The Knight's of Old.

Recovered from the deathworld of caliban, whilst the younger knights became and formed the DA, the older (too aged for the transformation to astates were drafted into the IG regiments to become just another gear in the imperium of man). Within the first war against the forces of xenos (need to fined a race here, not sure who would be relevant at the time) to calibanite soilders fled together into the abyss, brother alongside brother. They "aquired " tools, money, ammo and vehicles. Blowing off the the old shackles of the order for selling them out and never allowing the new ones to be locked in place by the imperium the old brotherhood was formed. . . . . . .

There armour is adapted cadians with hoods capes bandanas, scarred armour.

Anymore ideas welcome.

Well it seems rough riders would be a given.

Definitely, not sure how to make them more individual. Horses or bring them up to date with bikes.

Please clean up your grammar, it's really in need of help. For instance: "Knights" not "Knight's" - the apostrophe makes it possessive, not plural. If Cadians are "boring (not boring but lack character)" just say they lack character. Ellipses never need more than three periods. For the good of the posters here, work on your grammar.

The idea of an army using out of date, salvaged, and damaged equipment is cool. You could make a very cool modeling project out of it.

I like your idea, you could have a ton of heavy horse guys, like the rough riders just change them up a bit.
And or heavy infantry that you can model in all sorts of ways.
Put in some wornout old tanks and transports and your good to go.
Your army would stand out from all the other IG that is out there now.
Its always good to have a army that is not just cut from the same tin as everyone else.

I'm not saying everybody should have a BA in English, but they should put at least some effort into writing their posts.

Could work, besides Caliban currently not being a "planet" any more, but rather several chunks of rock floating in space. Have you considered using some of the Fantasy models as infantry? Dark Elven corsairs could make some cool veterans with some green stuffing.

@Vagas. I hadn't until now. but that's a sweet idea... To ebay I go. and i didn't know it got blow up when did this happen? iv only got to the "legion" book in HH. it doesn't matter as they left the planet with the first DA but would be nice to know

@snogs. That's what i was planning, i may get some of the mechanical horses from fantasy for my RR or scavenged bikes not sure. Also thanks for the boost.

@Brother SRM. Thank you for pointing out that as an English student I fail, but isn't this a general forum... If you don't understand me then don't respond. I will take this the heart and over time I will hopefully live to to standards. As a note for saying this to other new forum posters, you will scare them off. Anyway thanks for the heads up.
