Here is the Nob to lead my 'Ard Boyz mob. I posted him in my 'Ard Boyz thread in the showcase forum, but he actually belongs here until he is finished.

He is a black reach nob, converted to be armored to the "teef"!

He has the same riot shield the front line of the mob has, strapped to his back, to protect his backside. He has the same leg armor as the rest of the 'Ard Boy mob. He has a large shield strapped to his slugga arm. He has an oversized Iron Gob (which I think looks awesome It was bigger, but it was a touch to big so after adjustment it is as it is now). The Pièce de résistance of this Nob is the Power Klaw. Scratch built out of metal and green stuff. The designs on the klaw are assortments of hoses, a heat sink, and other various "gubbins".

Here he is prior to priming and base coating. I changed the hoses on the outside of the klaw to cylinders to make it look like it is functional.

Here he is after some more polish, cylinder installation, and base coating.
-removed the image from photobucket, cant find it again. basically the blobs where the cylinder connects to the klaw replaces the hoses. updated Feb 20, 2011.

I like the idea, but I think the greenstuff is too sloppy in some places, like the bit where the cylinder grips the claw and all the wires and stuff, to look realistic. I think you'd find you'd get better results using actual wire glued to the claw. For the cylinder-claw connection, you should use plastic (from plastic plates, if you don't have plasticard) to form a box-like shape around the GS blob, if you get my drift.

Here he is. Complete. I'm happy with him!

I take my completed pics pre-clearcoat. Just in case it screws up. about 2 minutes after taking these pictures, I started my regular clearcoating process. a few coats of krylon crystal clear satin, followed by testors dullcoat to get rid of the gloss. I guess I didnt clear the straw in the aerosol can of the crystal clear, and his front side frosted like crazy! Almost raged hard. What I did was I rinsed him under water quickly (probably a bad idea, but seemed appropriate at the time), and it removed the frost quite well. The paint was a bit tacky. Grrrr. Fortunately he recovered for the most part. His left part of his torso got a little messy. I was forced to touch it up with a little bit of paint... so aggravating.

Here he is post clearcoat. Opinions?

I like it. Do you play or just paint? His left side won't be noticble on the table-top. It doesn't look that bad, anyway. Good job!

As of yet I have not played. Only painted. Yeah, people shouldn't really be focusing on his left side of his torso too too much. It could have been worse I guess.

I haven't dropped this into this thread yet. Here he is with a little bit of help holding up his klaw. Good ol' Orky chain of authority
